Great atmosphere and great food, I will be coming back again. I had the ruben on rye with an option for Turkey, sauerkraut or coleslaw. Had a iced dirty chai, all good, left a happy lunchtime visitor!

Been missing our 'first date' nostalgia spot. Ordered through Grubhub today during stay-at-home order, Best Service, Best Staff, Best Food!

Several vegetarian options. My favorite is the retro artichoke sandwich! It's like an upgraded grilled cheese.

Being a café, one would expect their coffee (and other coffee based drinks) to be atleast drinkable.

Our first time there was for my wife's birthday, and it was a great choice. The interior had lots of art on the wall. It wasn't too busy so it was easy to have conversations. Since we were having a party, the staff gave us the main table on the second floor. My wife has a list of allergies and dietary restrictions, and the chef was attentive enough to come up to our table, pull up a chair, and have a personal conversation with her to make sure her dish was just right. Everyone else's dishes were amazing too. The staff also allowed us to bring a cake and board games ahead of time for the party. We will definitely visit again.

The food is awesome and service is fast. I love the vegetarian options, especially the lentil soup. It's a cool artsy spot. My waitress, Sterling, is always happy, knowledgeable, and attentive.

Questions & Answers

Nice

It's located on Cass Ave. Cass Tech and Cass Ave are both named after Lewis Cass, who tried to legalize slavery in Detroit in the 1840s under the doctrine of popular sovereignty. So the answer to you question is no...and yes.

It was not at all busy on a Saturday night for me. You probably don't need a reservation
