We have been coming here for years. Today was by far our worst experience. The whole belly clams, at market price for $23.95, were incredibly small, about the size of clam strips. They have changed their fries and not for the better. The hot lobster roll was also smaller than normal. The clam fritters had one clam each, if that. The coleslaw container included with the meal wasn't even half full. When you're paying this much for seafood, it should actually contain seafood. Super disappointed with our lunch today.

Best hot lobster roll in the state. Super-tender, and plentiful... the star of the show comes warm in a New England style split bun with a little butter, a lemon wedge, and a side of slaw. You may, of course, order an extra side of butter... but I don't think it's necessary. Both the clam chowder (NE & RI style) and lobster bisque are good, as well.Of the beaten path, you need to know where you're going to find it... Even so, there's usually a line of locals. Stand in line, order, then carry to your picnic table and enjoy!

I miss the seafood since I developed an allergy! However, I am still able to eat here with my family - they are great at protecting the “landlubbers’” menu from cross-contamination with shellfish. I satisfy myself with chicken tenders fried in separate oil from shellfish. The ice cream is delicious and comes in generous (but not insane) scoops. The french fries were different the last time I ate here and I didn’t like them as much, but every other time they’ve been delicious. And the coleslaw that comes as a side for many meals is fabulous too. This restaurant can get loud, with outdoor seating nestled between train tracks and a marina, but the breeze and evening sunshine are wonderful. The alley you drive down to reach the parking lot is better marked than it used to be - trust the directions! Wait times can be long, because the food is worth it.

Disappointed. Got our order mixed up with someone else's. They opened it; we could not accept it after it had been opened. Cocktail sauce tasted like ketchup. You can get a better seafood meal at other places. Pricey for what we got.

Good food with great atmosphere. Hot lobster roll could have used more butter or some on the side. Also for $20, the bun could be grilled in butter & something better than a hot dog bun.. french fries, onion rings, coleslaw & fish sandwich all really good.

Yummy lobster rolls . We enjoyed our meal including red potatoes and corn on the cob. Fast and efficient service. If lobster isn't to your liking you have lots of other delicious seafood choices. Highly recommend this spot.

Usually huge lines for food, staff too frazzled and over burdened to get orders correct. Just fast, fast, fast! Shove the food out! We were shorted drinks, but it wasn't worth doing the line again to fix it. Good clam fritters, we return just for those and the decent live music.

Scallops were awesome. Picnic tables were clean and overlooked the marina. Very enjoyable meal.

This place has always been a hidden gem. Great food. Live music on weekends at times. Fresh seafood and great staff. Worth the long wait at times. Great scenery next to the dock. Will always be back.

Really neat location with loads of parking. Worth the wait if there is one. Outside only seating but it's right on the water so the views are fantastic.

I had read about how good Captain Scotty's was so decided to check it out myself . Lines were long and that's ok. The food however was disappointing. My friend order the lobster roll with drawn butter. It had no taste , lobster was like rubber. I ordered the fried shrimp which were slightly under cooked though a good size . All in all my experience there deserves only one star and that was for the atmosphere.

Lines and seating were too crowded for my liking. Also, the speaker system sounds like something made in the 1920s and it really kills the mood and atmosphere when you hear "*feedback*...*insert name*... your order's ready... *name again*..." over and over again while you're trying to talk to the person next to you. Second star is strictly for the nice view

I heard all the rave about Capt' Scott's, So I decided to try it out! This is in June so the middle of the season, and I got seafood food poisoning from bad clam fritters!! I missed my sons last prom because I was in bed sick for days...almost broke down and went to ER but I finally stopped getting sick enough to hold down fluids!! It was the worst experience I've ever had! To the point I can't enjoy seafood like I did before this incident!! Check your batter regularly!!! PLEASE For the love of God!!!! I was so disappointed! 😞

2nd time I've been here this summer and food was just as disappointing as the first time. 2 stars for cute atmosphere. Zero stars for food. I used to eat here all the time but the quality has really gone downhill. Everything is flavorless and served at room temperature. They are riding on their reputation from their glory days when the food was actually good. The atmosphere is still great though.

When the weather gets really cold... Most places around here say labor day but they were still open last weekend with a full menu... Eventually they'll just do the lobster rolls.... But probably good with a full menu at least through October especially with this mild weather... Supposed to be in the 80's again next week.... i would also suggest calling if your coming from out of town to see what they're still serving

Yes. They are open 11am to 9pm.
