We have been coming here for years. Today was by far our worst experience. The whole belly clams, at market price for $23.95, were incredibly small, about the size of clam strips. They have changed their fries and not for the better. The hot lobster roll was also smaller than normal. The clam fritters had one clam each, if that. The coleslaw container included with the meal wasn't even half full. When you're paying this much for seafood, it should actually contain seafood. Super disappointed with our lunch today.

Best hot lobster roll in the state. Super-tender, and plentiful... the star of the show comes warm in a New England style split bun with a little butter, a lemon wedge, and a side of slaw. You may, of course, order an extra side of butter... but I don't think it's necessary. Both the clam chowder (NE & RI style) and lobster bisque are good, as well.Of the beaten path, you need to know where you're going to find it... Even so, there's usually a line of locals. Stand in line, order, then carry to your picnic table and enjoy!

I miss the seafood since I developed an allergy! However, I am still able to eat here with my family - they are great at protecting the “landlubbers’†menu from cross-contamination with shellfish. I satisfy myself with chicken tenders fried in separate oil from shellfish. The ice cream is delicious and comes in generous (but not insane) scoops. The french fries were different the last time I ate here and I didn’t like them as much, but every other time they’ve been delicious. And the coleslaw that comes as a side for many meals is fabulous too. This restaurant can get loud, with outdoor seating nestled between train tracks and a marina, but the breeze and evening sunshine are wonderful. The alley you drive down to reach the parking lot is better marked than it used to be - trust the directions! Wait times can be long, because the food is worth it.
