Cajun Kate’s Philly Pike

This place is awesome. It's the real deal. I had the gumbo of the day (chicken and sausage) and it was fantastic. The staff is so friendly that you feel like you're hanging out at a buddies house. I will stop back here whenever I'm in the area again.

I only wish I could give these guys 6 stars! My husband and I have trouble deciding where to eat every freakin time just like every couple but honestly thinking back I can't figure out why because never once has one of us suggested Kate's and been shot down. The only thing stopping us half the time is money because we want to order literally 95% of the menu every time! I personally have zero appetite most of the time but I still order gumbo, fried mac and cheese, pain perdue and frog legs (if they're available) and a cafe au lait every time! Leftovers are never a bad thing ;)Opening the new location literally 3ish miles up the road from us was the best thing to ever happen to our marriage! (Ok, they're tied with our children...though I'm not sharing with them!) They're also super friendly and personable.. Don always has a funny anecdote and a smile 😃 P.s. Be sure to get on the list in advance for the duck and wild mushroom gumbo only available during Mardi Gras...and thank me later 😉

Great food, fast friendly service, worth the hour and a half drive!
