It was one of those rare days when I had to come by this way at lunchtime, so I figured why not try Checkers? My impression of Checkers is it's a low-budget fast food joint. Many of the items are just a few dollars, which looks good compared to other fast food places where nowadays, a combo can get up to $8 or $9. Of course, portion sizes are scaled down a bit too, so temper those expectations. This also appears to be a fast food joint in a rough neighborhood, judging by the bulletproof glass at the order counter that leaves only a small slit for the money.All the aforementioned aside, I didn't have any problems with my takeout order. The food was mediocre and the service was okay but the price was right for what I got. So it was an average experience.
