Whilst most of Little Italy is a tourist trap, locals and tourists alike should head down to Caffé Roma for an authentic Italian culinary experience. They have some of the best pastries around and are always super friendly with customers. Highly recommend their Tiramisu - best I’ve had in NYC.

I went with two friends and we each got a different dessert - they were ALL delicious. I believe I had a caramel cappuccino and a chocolate cake (as pictured). My friends had tiramisu and a raspberry (or otherwise fruity) chocolate cake. Everything was great. The establishment is cute, and we all sat at a small table sharing coffee and desserts like people on TV. The staff was also very nice. Memorable experience with great food. Not sure why there are not solid 5 stars for this business.
