Broughton Common

Absolutely loved my meal at Broughton Common. The food was fabulous and the server was attentive. The brunch menu leans heavily on “brunch,” and in fact, you won’t find too many lunch-like things on it—this salad was one of the only more daytime options. I would also recommended to the kitchen to cut the Bibb lettuce a bit.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Friday evening in February 2020. We are senior citizens and tourists. We enjoyed our dinner. It's a very attractive space with high ceilings. We sat at a table in the bar area. While we ate, the adjacent dining room began to fill up with customers. The bar was busy with young adults and young businesspeople enjoying happy hour. Our waiter was very good. We ordered she-crab soup (excellent), wings and fried chicken (both very good) and shush puppies which we did not enjoy very much. There are no veggies on the menu except for salads costing $10 or $12. Our dinner tab for two, including a cocktail for each of us, came to $84 plus tip. This is a lively place with nice decor and atmosphere, and nice picture windows in front. Recommended.

We ordered the She Crab Mac & Cheese ($23) and split it. The dish was extremely large. We still took some of it home... even though it's served as a single dish! The only other item we ordered was a beer. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. We went on a Tuesday night, so it was very quiet.So, my recommendation would be to ask about portion sizes and think about splitting a meal if the server tells you the meal is large.
