Bread By Us

This bakery is one of the big things I miss since we moved away from Ottawa. The bread is fantastic, the staff is charming. They were among the first to embrace a higher wage for their staff when minimum wage was increase. I love the art on their walls and the low key vibe.

I love this place: excellent bread, pastries, cookies and COFFEE. The secret is that they make amazing coffee here and better pastries than most coffeeshops nearby. Staff are always super friendly as well. A real neighbourhood gem.

Croissants are ok just because I believe croissants are lighter than these ones... I will come back for the bread. They look amazing...

Everything they bake here is fantastic. Show up early because the pastries move fast.

Delicious! I got a smoked meat sandwich, focaccia meat pizza and a vegetarian pizza. Their specialty latte was delicious (honey) and their staff is friendly. I can't wait to go back!

The best bread in the area in my humble opinion. You have to try the cinnamon snails and the croissants are absolutely fantastic. All the breads are fluffy and inviting, perfect for sandwiches, dinners and cheeseboards. The bakers and service are super friendly and helpful. Right beside the Marche Market it's the perfect spot for grocery shopping in Hintonburg. One of my favourites!

My go to bakery in the city when I have a craving for treats. I love their scones! Friendly staff.

Hands down the most thoughtful and high quality bakery I have been to. I have been purchasing bread and goodies from this establishment since they opened, and now return every time I visit dear Ottawa. When I think of a business that is all encompassing, Bread By Us is what comes to mind. In this humble building, there is an uncompromising tenacity for quality bread and baked goods, a ferocious loyalty and justice-minded approach to policy and staff relations, and wonderful and thoughtful customer service. Those high points neglect mentioning the comforting design, thoughtful selection of products for sale, and *WONDERFUL* customer service. Thoughtful, warm, fair, delicious, conscious, and oh, so good. Worth many visits and indulgences. Thank you all for doing what you do. You're troopers and I love you for it! Can't wait for my next visit.

Great Americano

An amazing, local little bakery shop where their croissants are to die for. It always smells like heaven in there. Their bread is of course delicious. They are also one of the few that really want to give back to the community and have a Suspended program for those in need.

Tasty sandwich. I want to try some of their unique looking espresso drinks.
