Hidden gem of Art, super fascinating and admirable museum!!!! It's a Universal perfect place for tourists, first dates, date or date night, alone time and or family trips... be sure to wear comfortable shoes if you plan to tackle the entire museum in one day which I did and it takes about roughly about 4-5 hours (with breaks in between 😂)..... you can take pictures and video but be sure not to use flash because the security guards (which are everywhere) will come after you but not literally 😂😂😂😂 cheers and enjoy 😎😎😎

A MUST see place in New York. I could probably spend a week there. The history the art It is phenomenal. It's a time travel you literally travel through time and look at history of humanity and all its contributions. Rarely have I seen a museum allow guests to get so close to the exhibits and there is a tangible feeling of real that comes from that. Being able to see the brushstrokes or wood grain on a painting or the grooves on a sculpture or mask brings so much more attachment to the work. It has a reputation as one of the finest museums in North America and it has earned it. Go see the MET, give yourself lots of time, savour the exhibits that make you feel something. You won't leave feeling as though you didn't get commensurate value for your time and money, if anything, you may not want to leave at all.

Questions & Answers

Shuttle to Grand Central and then transfer to 4,5 or 6 to 86 th Street. It's then about a 10 minute walk.

What is the charge for wheelchair rental?

You have to buy a ticket but you put the price. You can pay 1$, the suggested 25$, 1000$ or any amount that you want. It's completely up to you.

12AM - 5PM 1 Hour $21.00 2 Hour $29.00 3 Hour $36.00 5 Hour $42.00 10 Hour $47.00 24 Hour $52.00 5PM - 12AM 1 Hour $18.00 2 Hour $24.00 5 Hour $32.00 10 Hour $39.00 24 Hour $52.00 Discounted Parking: Museum Members receive up to $6.00 off posted parking rates. Another option is to use the public transit

I think if you are really interested in art and would like to take your time appreciating at least the major sections of the met, a good 5 hours would probably be needed. I personally love museums and even I need 4 hours for even small to moderate-size museums. I recall spending a good day at the Met, and had to leave only because the museum was nearing its closing time.

Yes 10:00am-5:30pm

Nope, if it looks like a suitcase they won't let you in.

We took the subway. Today there was a race so you couldnt park in their garage or on the street near there. Driving around the MET is only for the fearless

It's now $25 for non New Yorkers
