The Amber Ox team has a passion for great beer, an obsession with delicious local food, and an unwavering dedication to providing unforgettable customer experiences. In our on site brewery, Precarious Beer Project, we produce our own meticulously crafted beers inspired by the seasons. As a brewpub, we also serve some of our regions best craft beers that compliment in our own in house brewing efforts. And, yes, we’re a restaurant, but we’re not your average restaurant either. Here, you’ll discover a mix of eclectic, elevated and unexpected dishes — many of which pay ode to classic Southern fare. But with a contemporary twist. We place a spotlight on crafting fresh seasonal dishes that feature the best regionally sourced produce and ingredients available. Put simply, the inspired food on our menu is prepared with finesse but no pretense. The food here is incredible! You must go on a Wednesday and order the Beer Can chicken. It's a smoked chicken with great smoke flavor down to the bone. The chicken was cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside yet wonderfully moist on the inside. The chicken and waffles were also a delight with incredible flavors all around. Never knew waffles could be so good. The oak smoked chicken wings are a must have. While they are quite dry they make up for it with all the flavor and crunch you can imagine. The accompanying tarragon sauce and to the incredible flavor of the wings.

Some of the most creative and best food I've had in a long time. Shared a bunch of the appetizers. You can sit in the dining room, the bar with TVs, or the outside sitting area. Each has a distinctive character.

What an atmosphere. Chill vibe with housemade cocktails muddled with fresh herbs. The brews were delicious. Wasn't hungry for food since I had already eaten but the shrimp and grits did sound tempting. Need to go back for a cocktail next.
