A Chef's Kitchen

What an amazing experience. We didn’t ask too many questions when we received a gift certificate to a chefs kitchen and I’m so glad that we were surprised. We thought that we would be up front cooking with Chef John and taking a class. Instead we were seated comfortably and taught about music, wines, spices, cookware and, of course, the foods we were eating. We were serenaded by, none other than, an astrophysicist major from W&M. He played the piano and drums and was absolutely delightful. Though I’m not personally a wine drinker, we learned a great deal about wines and where the champagne and three wines that were served we’re from and where to purchase them. Chef John was funny, interesting, an amazing chef and an excellent teacher. I WILL go again and again. The vegetarian options they prepared for my husband were amazing and it was a lovely night. Do yourself a favor and indulge in this event at least once. You’ll definitely go back again!

This is such a great little place. Not quite a restaurant, not quite cooking class. More like a quaint dining experience. My wife and I wish we'd found this place sooner! We both enjoy eating quality food where the flavors stand on their own merits, that dont need a ton of ingredients or intricate preparation to taste good. On top of tasty food, there were great nuggets of info with the food science and chemistry of the ingredients! Worth every penny!
