Zio Casual Italian

Awesome grilled pizzas and delicious pastas and salads. One of our favorite places to order take out, prices aren't too bad compared to some Italian restaurant. Parking lot can be a little tight sometimes, but it's always a good sign when a restaurant stays busy!

They sat other same sized parties before us that came in over ten minutes after us. Their table busing was highly inefficient and when we got up to leave since it had been five minutes and no one came to take a drink order the server didn't care that we decided to leave. We went down the street to a chain pizza store, Uncle Maddio's Pizza, and received excellent timely service.

Always a great meal and great service.

Everything is amazing!! Service is awesome, feels like an authentic Italian food experience. The fresh angel hair pasta is to die for.

From the min I walk in I'm greeted at the door. Bartender Kristi is awesome . Jack in the back is always making perfect sauces!! Love this place❤

Had really good homemade pasta

Spaghetti sauce is very watery and does not stick at all to pasta. They make good pizza's though

We love Zios. Everything is great here. Staff is patient & helpful with their menu. Pizza is to die for. Pasta is good. The meat skewer is one of my favs!

Somewhat cramped dining area but we were seated quickly. Service was good and the food was very good. Will go back and try something else. Prices were reasonable also.

What a wonderful evening we enjoyed at Zio''s. Cozy Italian atmosphere for a family birthday. Live music was a big bonus. We enjoyed a sweet duet of from an excellent guitarist and the silky smooth voice of a great singer (and just the right volume allowed family conversation). The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our waitress had a wonderful sense of humor, and the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to our 14 year old granddaughter. Where do you find personal touch like that?

The food was good but not really what I was expecting. Got chicken parmesan which was supposed to be over fettuccine but was over what looked like egg noodles, not the worst thing but yeah. I was also expecting more cheese and maybe a slice of mozzarella on top but did not have anything like that. The website says family style but it was definitely not portioned that way. All in all the food was good just not what I was expecting

The food is absolutely phenomenal. The toasted ravioli appetizer, the salads, the pasta, and the pizza (especially the grilled pies!) are all SO good. I also love the unassuming and laidback atmosphere. It reminds me of old school authentic Italian restaurants from my youth. This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte!
