Zinque

Love this place. Menu doesn't change much which is both good and bad. Delicious but could use some surprises. Lost one star because some of the staff can be arrogant, but when I think that, a month or two later that person is gone. A hipster hood like Venice might attract those types, but seems management sniffs them out quick.

Great wine so I won't whine. It was alright.

The food is amazing ,the hangar steak is great and the mussels are to die ! It's a nice ambience ,very romantic ,a little too dark . My only gripe are the prices ,the portions are tiny and most entrees upwards of 30 dollars ,and the waiters expect a hefty tip ,so not sure it's worth the money .

Unique and remarkable menu. Very nice location, for both indoor and outdoor seating. If you don't have an idea of what French inspired Los Angeles bistro food is, you could do a lot worse than starting with Zinque as a measuring stick

Service was excellent and hostess worked hard to accommodate our party on a Friday night with no reservation.The food was generally very good. The steak and fries had great flavor but not as tender as I would like. The Branzino, however, was a home run. The desserts were also excellent. The almond tart and the flourless chocolate cake were outstanding.

Great coffee and internet access, a nice environment for networking/conversation and doing some work or perhaps making a deal happen. Then you can head over to the beach and cool off.

French atmosphere. Good service, great food and wine! Bread tastes homemade, fresh, and the burrata with prosciutto board is a must! Le Pigeoulet Vaucluse wine is good with any dish. Inside can get pretty loud so it is best to ask for a patio seat. Great place to meet up with friends and enjoy together!

Food was decent and pints of delirium for $10 aren't bad...I guess. Food options are basic.

Amazing food, bad service :/Our waiter barely took care of us, wasn't friendly at all, wasn't the one who brought us our food, then when it was time to pay the $65 bill we did $20 cash then the rest on the card - which I tipped 18% on (so that's 15% of the total bill). He then asked super rudely if I'd like to tip on the cash as well. Umm No. It was super awkward.

Hip little place with great happy hour specials and a trendy crowd. Definitely will be visiting again.

Zinque is a solid cafe by day and a good bar by night and located on Venice and Abbot Kinney. Only a few beers on tap, but all decent ones. I usually go for coffee during the day, but I went at night recently and saw some live music, which was rad and met some friends for drinks. Overall, the place is nice, comfortable and friendly.

Beer on tap is minimal but they have some bottles that cover most of the bases. I only stopped by to grab a drink while I passed some time so I didn’t have food. However, based on what I saw, the portions are okay. For the price? Idk. The seats by the bar were uncomfortable and unpadded. It probably just goes with their decor theme but I wasn’t having fun sitting there lol

DON’T ORDER FOR TAKEOUT. We ordered a soup and a salad and the total amounted to $67.00. Pictures depicted entree size and the Soups real size is a Cups size. The soup alone cost $20 including tax. Overpriced, not served hot. Mainly overpriced and not proper portions. Get it right guys
