I was really impressed with this place. It's tiny and pretty hidden, no way you'd know it was there. The inside looks like a set from a Bruce Lee movie. The menu is well laid out and comprehensive, and there's no white people's Chinese food on it. We ordered jellyfish in vinegar, which was amazing. Also lamb ribs, pork in garlic sauce, and stir-fried shrimp with lotus root. All excellent, and a bunch of other stuff on the menu that we'll have to go back for.

Very tasty but minimal English translations on the menu. If you're not used to Chinese food which makes your tongue numb, then I recommend you look up what a Sichuan pepper is and know that "spicy chicken/beef" is full of them!

I used to really love this place but feel the quality has diminished over the years. The food is still great, but not what it once was. I would still highly recommend this place for someone looking for real Chinese food, this is the most authentic place in Madison as far as I can tell.

Very bad experience with the waitress and the quality of food is below average

Great food. Went there with 9 people. Everyone ordered something different and we shared it. Every plate was very flavorful and authentic. The pork green beans was my favorite.

Ordered 2 different kind of noodles, the spicy beef noodle soup was excellent but the Beijing cha-jian (soy bean paste) noodles lacking some flavor. Overall, good value for the dishes, will definitely go back to try other menu items.

Usually I like their dishes but today I ordered three-cup-chicken and was quite disappointed. It was not like the traditional three cup chicken but rather like Mongolian beef but chicken instead. However, their other dishes that I've tried are pretty good. Service is very good and price reasonable.

Hiding on Watts Rd not far from Woodman’s. I went there on a Friday during Spring Break, so business was slow. Ordered Hunan Spicy Pork (which turned out to be more like twice cooked pork), Peking Noodles (炸酱é¢ï¼‰, Mushroom Variety, and Chicken in Chili Sauce (cold dish). First off, the menu is quite deceiving, the dishes arrived not quite looking like the pictures. Many of the dish name translations are off, so it will be difficult for non-Chinese readers to order. Service was nice, dished arrive lightning fast. Everything was yummy, would like to return to try more things.

Service is good. Food needs improvement. I ordered Ma La Xiang Guo and Banboo shoots. However, the Ma La Xiang Guo contains too many Sichuan peppers making it too spicy.
