Vegan Asian comfort food delivered in an instant at an affordable price? Zen Palate is the restaurant to call. This company also is the sister restaurant of incredible Red Bamboo in the West Village. Okay, so first off any of the pre-fixe dinner items are awesome because it's like a bento box which is nice if you like variety. My favorite go-to items: sweet and sour soy protein, eggplant and tofu, and their tex mex dish, but honestly anything on their menu, but the sandwiches I would recommend (I don't like sandwiches for dinner but their yam fries are good). OH and you will keep coming back for their Banana Bliss pie- it's amazing and fresh made with slices of whole bananas in the middle. Bon appetite!

Interesting blend of asian food and other styles. Tasty and not too expensive.

The location at 105th has a pretty nice, relaxed atmosphere. "Zen" is such a cliche word, but it's a good association for the interior. It's obviously very Eastern influenced and actually has trees inside. Dimly lit, but not too dimly lit.But the food. It's *remarkably* bland. I keep giving this place second and third and fourth opportunities, but the food is just not good. It's practically tasteless. Not tasteless in the way where I'm expecting refined sugars and ultra-salty flavors like fast food or something. The tofu is just sort of thrown into a dish with no marinating. The sauces are very bland. It's very unfortunate and gives veggie restaurants a bad name!
