Overall good food and good service. I think it's a little on the pricey side though for the value of food you get.

The best sushi restaurant in Richmond hill in my opinion. Everything just spells quality from the food to the service and down to the decor and ambience. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time to get a seat at the sushi counter to be able to watch the chefs do their magic, and it's just that much more fun to get to converse with the chefs and learn a thing or two.

Very nice decor and staff were very friendly. We ordered omakase sushi and sashimi and it was drlicious! Good amount of food and everythng tasted fresh. None of the fish tasted fishy. Service was a bit slow though - each course took awhile to arrive. Gave us complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was a nice touch :) On the pricey side but for quality, it was worth it.

Such a great experience. My first time taking part in sushi omakase, and was it delicious. It was great to sit by the bar to watch the skilled chefs in action. The dessert was mandarin cream pie - it was light, tasty, and not too sweet.

EXCELLENT experience. New favourite sushi spot in the GTA/Toronto. Great service, pristine space, food on point. Authentic experience. Can't wait to go back.

Didn't get the omakase so maybe why, but the other items are average, small and not worth price. Got the softshell crab, lobster tempura and unagi don. Lobster probably the best from those 3, but so hungry after.

I tried their matsutake kaiseki. There were two options for Kaiseki the night I went. Regular kaiseki was $180 per person. Matsutake(pine mushroom) special was $220 per person. It's pricey but it was absolutely worth to try. I loved their sashimi and sushi I added, but I think their kitchen food was the best! Also they have a great selection of sake.

Always a treat every time we go. Service is great with attentive and servers who explain the dishes. Seats at the sushi bar is a full experience especially if you go for omakase (leaving it up to the chef). Fish is always fresh and has variety depending on the seasons. Cooked appetizers / meals are also very good. There's a great balance of flavours across the board. I particularly love the fresh yuzu flavours in some dishes and the variety of sauces they put together. They've kept up their standards across the years which keeps us coming back. Be sure to save space for dessert! All options are great, but nothing comes close to the in house made tofu ice cream!

This is my favourite Japanese resturant in the GTA. Since I live in Markham the location is super convenient and parking is not a hassle unlike dining in downtownTO. Sei-San is my all time favourite sushi chef. Their Omakase is very reasonably priced and the sushi is always fresh. If its a special occasion and you want to be able to chat with the people your dining with id highly recommend the Kaiseki. Otherwise the counter for Omakase are the best seats in the house. They also have a resturant that specializes in Sanuki Udon nearby. Its lighter on the wallet, quick service and the perfect place to have lunch.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant! Food is extremely high quality and staff are always super nice and accommodating. Would recommend for any special occasion, they give you their ice cream filled heart desserts complimentary and they're just so delicious.

Best omakase sushi in Toronto. Tried Yasu and Kaji, but Zen is still the best place for us. Their tuna handroll at the end is by far the best item. The menu is simple and no frills, which is what we like. Other omakase places tend to add in filler dishes and those typically miss the mark. Will definitely be back!***Zen is still open for take-out! Had their Bara Chirashi and it is amazing. Fresh sushi fish with tamago and ikura makes it super umami! Their negi hama handroll is also a fave! You can see the same impeccable quality even in their takeout.”
