This past week was my first time visiting Zen Cha in several years. I was kind of heart broken to see what it had become. Zen Cha used to be my favorite place in Columbus. This past week... it was a mess. The unprofessionalism took me a back. The owner was in the back yelling at all her staff. Which in turn caused the servers to neglect their tables. I went in needing a relaxing tea rest. I got yelling the whole time I was there. The tea was delicious at least.

ZenCha is a place my boyfriend and his best friend visit as often as they can. They provide wonderful tea varieties, there is always something new to try. I love the ambience of the place as well. Their pot-stickers are amazing too! The only down side is with the new parking rules in the Short North, you have to park very far away for free parking or you have to pay to park. This change has harmed many stores in the Short North that my friends and I love so much as well as our pockets when we want to go out in the town. Definitely consider stopping by for a cup of tea and relax as you watch the city move forward.

EDIT: it’s our second time here. However it takes them 30 minutes to get the food ready. Any service requests cannot be addressed promptly. (it takes them several minutes to come here to take orders, another several minutes to check out). It’s not a place for a quick lunch during weekdays. If the owner of this place is looking at this comment, I highly recommend you to hire more staff during lunch time. 2 people is far less than enough and the speed of service is driving customers away.Ramen is unique and great. English breakfast tea tastes good and authentic.

The tuna avocado sandwich is one of the best sandwiches in the city. The selection is magnificent and the prices are extremely competitive.

Bubble tea!!!! Best in town. So many flavors, each one is as good as the one before.

Very friendly atmosphere, great experience. Service was great and gave us plenty of space to talk. The food I had was good, and I really enjoyed the tea, being able to make it myself was fun.I will probably come back here again, I had a lot of fun.

What a great tea shop! We loved the tea selection and food menu. I ordered a white tea with the chai waffles, and it did not disappoint! I’m also celiacs, and the menu was really clearly marked with gluten free options.

I love the food, but the tea selection is amazing. It's organized by continent on the menu and color coded based on the tea. I love the light and decor. It's a jewel of Columbus for sure.

One of the best tea places in the US - Hands down!I am really picky about my tea and this place had every kind of tea in the world. I was surprised and happy to be here. It's like a sit-in restaurant but mostly for tea. They have food too, but I went there mainly for the tea.The prices for tea are a little expensive, but believe me they are worth it.I got the Ginger Cardamom tea. It took a while for the tea to come, but I think they were putting extra care in making the tea with all the flavors we needed. The tea was out of the world.I live in Lexington, KY and I wish a similar tea place existed here. I would go here everyday if it were closer to me.
