Super packed on a Saturday morning, but even so the wait was only about 20 minutes. And well worth it. Food and service were fantastic, prices reasonable. Would definitely return.I got the basic breakfast, but you can customize everything so that ended up with sausage links and jalapeno cornbread. Breakfast potatoes and sausage were the best part of the meal. French toast was okay, cornbread pretty good. Didn't try the coffee because we went to Verve afterwards!

Had the best pancakes I've ever eaten at this restaurant. Muffins and eggs were excellent also. Food was brought out quickly too.

The corned beef hash and eggs and Mike's Mess are my go-to's. Very tasty and good portions. The service is friendly and attentive.

Sourdough pancakes and waffles are just delightful. Home fries are so flavorful, bacon is cooked to perfection, fresh squeezed juices are tops!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait about 20 minutes to get seated for a party of 7. We were there at around 11 am and hungry from the drive from sf.Food: I got the veggie burger and wow were the portion sizes big! There was a really like good mix of hash browns and burger and the hash browns were perfectly crispy which was great. The burger was a bit dry but the oatmeal molasses bread was not too sweet and subtly savory! Service: We were able to get the waiters to add a small candle on the dish of our birthday girl and that was really nice of them! The food came in 20 minutes or so. Ambiance: Nice clean diner area with lots of seating and very simple decoration.Overall, a solid brunch place with vegan options and a cozy homey vibe!

Pretty sure our waitress is an outlier given the interactions and demeanor of the other waitstaff I observed but... Three of us were seated, only two placesettings. We got coffee, and a different wait person brought us a completely empty thing of cream… When I politely asked our actual waitress if we could get another place setting and cream since they dropped off an empty one, she literally rolled her eyes as she turned around, without a word. I can’t imagine how we would have been treated if we weren’t well dressed professionals.

I had the chorizo omelet with home fries and a side of pancakes. The pancakes are great and had that classic diner pancake taste. The omelet had a great meaty flavor and there was a great salsa that came with it. Home fries were the star though. They had a nice a crispy outside.

A busy Sunday morning, the staff worked together like a well oiled team. Our waitress Libby super friendly and efficient. Great food, worth the 20 minute wait.

Nice place, good brunch, a lot of choice. Usually it's full, so you have to write your name on a waiting list, but we didn't wait longer than 15min.

We came in on a busy Sunday morning waited for about 20 mins for a table.... IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! Amazing food and hands down the best service I have ever received. My coffee mug never got down past half way before one of the many wait staff was there ready to top it off. You can really feel the team atmosphere with the staff. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. I will definitely be back! Thanks Zachary’s for a great Sunday brunch and an wonderful experience!

Tried a new place today. This Cafe has been serving the Santa Cruz area for 30+ year's. They serve breakfast and lunch only. Their hours are Tuesday through Sunday 7am to 2:30pm. They have a small selection on their menu but a couple that I'd like to try. Their food selections are unique. Today I ordered the Spicy Italian Scramble. It was good. Next visit, I'll try the Ahi Tuna Melt.

Cozy place for breakfast and brunch. Long wait but so worth it.

Really good food.. we were a party of 4 and all items we ordered was good . Parking available in Street and in the lot opposite. They are super busy during weekends about 30-45 min wait but better than most places where wait time exceed 1.30hrs. service was a little hurried , the person attending to our table always seemed to be in a rush. Could have smiled a little more and showed some patience. Otherwise a great spot to have breakfast before heading off to beach.

I ordered waffle. It was average. Two overcooked sides that split apart. Lacked volume. Fruit salad had way too many bits of flavorless melon, though it had one banana slice and a couple grapes and an orange wedge. Service was good. I will try them again.
