This is pizza like I ate as a kid growing up in the Chicago suburbs. Deep, loaded with sauce on top, cheesy for days. This is literally a heavy pie, which is such a treat. Drive home from Oakland with my half-baked pie. Let's just say, when I got home to Carmel I was a hero!

If you ever go to Oakland, and you love to eat Pizza... this place is a must. Deep dish, Chicago style, always busy, noisy chatter, great wall art, kid friendly, good vibes. Street parking, 30 minute wait to be seated, Saturday night at 8pm. Absolutely no leftovers 😋

First time here & ordered the thin crust pizza instead of famous deep dish version. Got half Zachary special & pizza Blanca in large size (14"). Love the Zachary, very juicy & flavorful. Pizza Blanca was ok, too much cheeses for me & bit bland. The pizza came out in regular thickness not so thin crust that I expected. I am looking for thin crust like Cheeseboard pizza in Berkeley. Otherwise, the pizza was crunchy given the thickness just too much bread for me :) great customer service & plenty of tables. Affordable price. Street parking is easy to find on weekend.

Zachary’s, Zachary’s, Zachary’s. I’d write an ode to the restaurant but I’m not that poetic. I will say this though, I grew up in the Bay Area and have since moved away. Every time I come home, come hell or high water, I go to Zachary’s. Thinking about the fresh robust and perfectly blended flavors of their deep dish spinach and mushroom pizza pushed me through various points of studying for the bar. When I graduated from high school I had Zachary’s, and when I had my first heartbreak, I had Zachary’s. Zachary’s is a place where love is expressed daily through pizza (which, clearly, is the best way to express love). In sum, if you live here and haven’t been recently, you should. If you’re visiting, you should go. If it’s a day that ends in y and you’re hungry, you should seriously consider going.

The pizza here is always interesting. They have great flavors and unique combinations. The deep dish is fantastic and the flat top white sauce is bomb! I love it here and I also love that it's employee owned.

Great pizza and good service! We have enjoyed the pizza, tried 3 different types and all were delicious. The guy working there is very friendly. Really recommend to come for quick lunch!

This is great pizza and you should definitely try it if you're in the area. This place is for DEEP DISH LOVERS. They serve traditional Chicago style pizza and the smell of the pizza is what orginally brought me here. However, I like thin crust pizza and while they do have a thin crust variant it just isn't as good as the deep dish.

Best (stuffed, thick crust) pizza in the Bay Area flat out. Been a staple of my diet for over 2 decades and 2 generations and still going strong! ‘nuf said.

Great deep dish pizza, the spinach one is absolutely lovely. Definitely try their IPA beer as well (forgot the name now), goes down well with the food! Only downside is be prepared to wait about 20 mins to be seated.

Always love coming here for dinner. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu, whether it's pizzas or the appetizers, and they will try to work with dietary restrictions. Definitely the best deep dish pizza spot outside of Chicago in my book. Be warned it's definitely easy to underestimate the size of their pizzas. A small deep dish is definitely going to be enough for two average size adults.

Outstanding. We opted for the thin crust pizza this time, they're really known for their deep dish, and it was outstanding. The Caesar Salad was perky, as well. That's right, I said perky. The waiter, who's name I think was Kai, was great. Informative, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. All in all, a very sweet experience.

This place is delicious! Don't trust my review, come and try it for yourself. A medium thick crust pie will feed 2-3 adults. Enjoy and stay classy!

-super crowded and busy-accommodating to the best of their ability-restrooms-May have to flag someone down for a drink refill if you aren’t right by where the servers are regularly walkingWe ate here because of a recommendation from a family member that lives in the area. When we arrived it was insanely crowded but we were told that we could order and they would try to have our pizza ready when there was a table ready for us. We had a good sized group so it was going to be about a 45 minute wait but they ended up moving tables for us so we got to sit down after only about 5 minutes and we really appreciated that, as we had a few young children with us.The stuffed pizza was something really new for us but it was really good!

First Chicago style pizza ever. From Sydney, no one does this yet in Australia and I have no idea why. This particular place has obviously hit the nail on the head with their awesome rich, chucky tomato sauce and awesome crust. This is seriously no word of a lie an ACTUAL pie. This is a small and can comfortably feed 3 people (2 pie pieces each). I'm so glad we came here and finally got to experience it.

I will personally get you a pizza and ship it to you for a finders fee?

No just pizza oven it looks like

They don't deliver but you can use any of the following delivery services for the College Ave location. Caviar – Oakland Uber Eats – Oakland Door Dash – Oakland

No way around it, parking is brutal. You could be selfish and park in the Trader Joe's lot, but at least justify it by buying something there first.

Actually, you can order from the map. Just open thier web site and follow directions.

Yep

No delivery but a service like caviar will deliver it for a fee.
