Yamato Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar

Great little restaurant. The food is great and very reasonable prices. In fact they could double the price and it would be a good value. Very good service. Don't let the rundown strip mall fool you. This is a good restaurant Highly recommend.

I'm pretty sure my fiance and I was served dog food. It was very horrible and we could not finish our food and had to go to another restaurant....but the dog food was fare priced so there's that.

After reading the reviews I was excited to try this restaurant. But it didn't live up to the hype. We had the hibatchi salmon and the hibatchi chicken. The Salmon was very fishy tasting like cheap salmon. The chicken was good but rather bland. They veggies were sparse. The sushi was good. Overall it was lacking flavor.

Read all the reviews about how great it was my husband and I walked in and expected to sit at a hibachi grill to find out its just a little restaurant more like to go or lunch setting. Was greeted when we walked in and order taken right away. The salad and soup was okay but the lettuce tasted like it wasnt washed and food was nice portion size the chicken tasted like it wasn't washed either. It was just okay probably wouldnt go back had better to go hibachi. Sorry just didnt do it for me price and size was reasonable if you like it....

I just had a wonderful lunch at the New Albany Yomato location. Great food and a very comfortable atmosphere. My waiter was awesome! Very charming and charismatic. I will definitely be going back soon!

Carry out during pandemic and food is just as good if not better than before. We love Yamato. Their food is Amazing.

Love this place. Great food and service

Went to Yamato today. Ordered my bento box steak medium well with no mushrooms and my husband ordered his medium well also. We both got raw meat. Outside barely done with inside still cold. Had mushrooms mixed into the food. We had waited over 30 min for our food so just told them we weren't eating that and wasn't paying for it. Guy got mad and tried threatening to call the police. Husband said we would wait. Husband let people know food was raw and another employee rushed out and said don't worry about it, just go.

Food and service were excellent! Hibachi style food at half the price!

I had noticed this place for some time but never stopped. Decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The food was inexpensive and plentiful. Had 4 others with me and we ordered everything from sushi to the grill. Will definetly go back again.

An absolute hidden gem. Authentic Japanese food for a great price. You gotta try it.

this is one of my favorite places to go eat. I can't wait to go back. #1 fan of the steak and shrimp. yummy yummy in my tummy
