Taiwanese style comfort food. Personally prefer Xiao Long Bao with thin skin. This place has a thick skin. Fried chicken was spot on. Don’t eat if you don’t like five spice.

The Xiao long bao (soup dumplings ) is really delicious and juicy! Also I recommend the five spice popcorn chicken, it’s really closer to Taiwanese flavor.

If you like dumplings and soup, why not try them together in a XLB? This place does them pretty proper. Delicious soup and a morsel of meat captured in a steamed bun. Dayum. Throw some chili oil on top and not many culinary delights will make me happier. 😁Happy Hour, get two biaos and a beer for under ten bucks. Lots of good non-alcoholic options as well. Try the Winter Melon or Basil Seed drinks.

Counter service, limited menu, but good drinks. XLB were pretty good, pork dumplings were better. Might not make a special trip just for this place again, but would go if I were in the neighborhood.

This place is great, really good food, and the best dumplings in town. Only issue is, it is a little overpriced for what it is. It doesn't seem like that at first, but once you order everything you end up spending a lot more than you thought.

Love this place! Everything I've had here has been great and there are only about a dozen things to chose from so it's simple and delicious. Always get the soup dumplings! And it's pretty cool they sell shirts, beanies, and cute bao pins.

Food was delicious. Loved the xlb and Shanghai fried shrimp and pork noodles. The popcorn chicken was super soft on the inside with a slight crispiness on the outside. Definitely suggest checking this out

We’ve been to XLB a couple times now. The Long Bao is (as it should be) delish. Not overly seasoned and lots of broth. We also tried the cold sesame noodles this time, really nice on a warm sunny day. Service was friendly, if a bit stern but quick and effective. It’s busy usually and the wait in line can be long but it’s worth it.

Overall I would classify the food here as edible to bad. Definetly a nontraditional approach to XLB. Tastes like corned beef/pork was used to substitute traditional fillings. Sour tinge was a slap to my pallet when I was expecting a more straight forward savory flavor. Best thing on the menu is not the namesake but the eggplant. Must show up with whole party to be seated. Fully understandable but slightly annoying when the place had 0 people sans staff.

Very tasty drink! Went for dumpling week. Long wait and I thought the regular menu items were better than the special dumpling, but it was all good! Staff is attentive and friendly.

XLB is known for their dumplings (don't get me wrong they're pretty yummy), but they also make amazing eggplant tofu, buns, their pickled cucumbers are fantastic, the fact you order before you sit is ideal. Items come out as they're cooked, so you enjoy everything without filling up too quickly. Their courtesy jasmine green tea is decent, service rocks. ONLY downside is sometimes there are lines down the block, try to go after 7 or right before they open at 5. This is one of our regular must go to places, they have consistent flavors, freshly cooked & seasoning is always spot on. 💚 xlb

Solidly good food. Nothing all the unique, but delicious bao and pork noodles. Really slow service, so don't come if you are in a rush.

This is a great place for a quick bite while not compromising on the quality and taste. The dumplings melt in your mouth and the cost is very reasonable for the quality of food you get. Definitely give it a try.

Questions & Answers

yes! there are lots! our cold noodle salad with both chicken or tofu is totally GF! The Beef Ho Fun can be modified to GF by subbing tamari for soy sauce and swapping the beef for either chicken or shrimp. Chinese greens are GF (roasted chicken option is also!) with the Bok Choy, swap tamari for oyster sauce and you're GF friendly. Good luck!
