It was 1st time visiting Chicago we stayed at Hampton Inn North Loop. Just couple of minutes from the hotel, we found this place late evening for quick take out. Since it was 20F cold night we need something hot, I’m glad we tried Wow Bao. It was quick easy order but taste much better than some of dine in Asian restaurants. We ordered Combo #1 and dumplings noodle soup. Love it! Price was reasonable. I hope they open location in Southern California.

Wow Bao was a great spot for a quick lunch and a fun experience. We truly didn’t expect anything, but were pleasantly surprised by how good the food is and how unique it is! Though it’s not a Chicago staple, I would probably pass up a lot of other more well known lunch spots downtown just to eat there again.

Best fast food restaurant but eat the dumplings and potstickers when hot. I don’t recommend dumplings for take outs. The spicy peanut sauce noodles had great flavor but I wish it was hot .

The ambience of the place was very chic and stylish and super modern looking with cute dancing Baos and a modern dining experience where you pick up food directly from microwave like bins when your order is ready for a completely human less dining experience. The order itself is placed via screen so no servers at all needed. Sadly I personally felt that the food was just ok. The bowls had very mild flavours and didn't really feel very appetizing. The Bao was decent and the Mochi was excellent though. So +1 star for ambience but not my favourite culinary experience.

Interesting concept, delicious food. Automated screen takes your order with a credit card, then food appears in one of the numbered bins. There is a service button of you need sauces or anything, and people buys the tables and clean up. But the food if fresh and delicious. Bin surfaces provide light animated diversions while you wait. Yummy surprise find for me tonight.

The staff was welcoming and very helpful. Love baos, and love wao bao. This one had a really wonderful concept of serving the order. It was like collecting a delivery from the Amazon pick up store! Service was very fast. In all a good experience

It's an interesting concept to ordering and receiving food -- must visit to experience. The food is quite good. I tried the chicken and pork bao, which was decent. The terriyaki chicken bowl was also good. Food is prepared for take out, as there as not many chairs.

Very interesting concept of a full-digital meal experience! The dishes were also pretty tasty and with a decent price, although portion sizes were not that large. Come here if you are craving for some Baos and Dumplings!

Being the tourists that we were, we happened upon this place randomly along Michigan Avenue. I like this concept of automation. Food was okay, they were out of dumplings though. I also wish the baos were bigger. The speciality drinks were ordered looked delicious but were not very delicious.
