We stopped in for a bite to eat hoping the locals could help us dig up some history. Both the server and the cook were very friendly. We were happy to not be eating at MacDonald's. They weren't able to answer any questions but they have us insight on where to look and local events coming up.

This place is amazing - one of the oldest boozing establishments in the US and historic hangout of several literary greats. Good beers, themed menu and perfect location. We take pretty much all our guests here

Best when it's almost empty. Cheap drinks cool atmosphere and there's the kerouac connection if you're into that sort of thing

Favorite spot in Lowell. Excellent burgers. My friends like the dogs - grilled or boiled in beer! Homemade chips are not to be missed. Other stuff, but focus is on quality not quantity of selections. Good beers on tap for everyone, from double IPAs to PBRs. Bartenders make tasty drinks.
