World of Beer

Group of 4 adults, 6 pm on a Friday. We didn't make reservations, but there wasn't a wait so we were seated right away. The waiter was just okay, he was friendly but we had to ask for water and refills, had to ask for the appetizer plate to be removed, and the orders were a little off (rice instead of salad, steak instead of tuna), but despite any of that, we had a great time. The atmosphere was commercial rustic, the mixed drinks were flavorful and creative, the parking is very convenient, and most important- the food was fantastic. As a low carb eater, the Cali bowl with tuna AND steak was outstanding. I'll be back very soon for that Cali bowl.

The happy hour food is amazing and reasonably priced. I ordered the crispy chicken tacos and Margherita Flatbread. The service was a bit slow. With it being happy hour the server could've been a little more attentive. On the bright side they were friendly. I would definitely be returning.

I took my 18 year old son out for lunch today and he fell in love with the old school Super Nintendo gaming console that he could play while we waited for our food. Monday's were $5 cheeseburgers and they didn't disappoint. Our server was Amanda and she was excellent. Very attentive, polite, and friendly. We will definitely be back as long as she is our server.

It's good for what it is. Wide array of mostly ales (would you like hops with that?) and few lager choices. The fish tacos were really good one time, but not so good the next time. My seatmates said their food was good. Service was really good one time, but not so good the next time. I've only been there for lunch around noon to 1:30, so it might be different in the evening. Interesting environment, industrial feeling to the furniture. I expect to go there again sometime.

World of Beer is a chain that specializes in a large variety of beers from around the world and various foods to go with it. Shocking huh? This new location is well lit with a nice corner location in Metro Centre. I stopped in just after 8pm on a Tuesday evening and there was a lovely crowd. Still a decent amount of seating available. The beers were cold, the tacos and pretzel were hot. And you could sit down and play Super Street Fighter! All in all, a nice addition to the neighborhood with a nicely mixed crowd of all types.

Delicious food, quick and friendly service, enjoyable environment and a great place to meet up with friends. There's a SNES that anyone can relax and play too! 🎮

Went to W.O.B for Friday happy hour.. it was a mixed bag experience mostly because the hostess was just bad at her job. 1st I requested outside seating and was told no because of pending rain.. it never rained. I ordered chicken sliders and two variations of tacos. The chicken tacos came with a small piece of chicken. The beef tacos were actually really delicious and had a good portion of meat. I would go back and hopefully my experience is improved.

It’s a pretty cool spot to grab a meal. Conveniently close to the theater to catch a movie after a nice meal. The wait staff can be a bit all over the place, but overall it’s good

Very reasonable happy hour prices. I expected it to be uncomfortably crowded but our service was good, helpful, friendly, and patient. The drinks were good. I appreciated the samples. They have a lot more than beer and bar food which was a happy surprise. Free parking was also a huge plus! An enjoyable evening and good meeting place for casual dining.

The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because we were waiting for the food forever and the waiter was not there at all. He came 3 times to get our order, brought food, and once brought drinks. We had to go to the bar ourselves 4 times just to get drinks. Otherwise the atmosphere is good, drinks are very good and the food was just amazing . We will be back because we loved the food!

Stopped in for a few drinks, but mostly to get the pretzel my husband has been raving about. He was right to rave. Delicious!! The mustard was a little spicy and so good and the beer cheese was worth the few extra dollars. Between the four of us, we polished it off. We also tried the donut bites, which were good but nothing compared to the pretzel. We would try the nachos next time.No kids menu is available. A wide selection of beers are offered and we tried the Kona and a raspberry wheat, the Purple Haze. If you like raspberry, it's worth a shot. All in all, we'd come back!

Food is good, but expensive. One beer and 10 wings for over $20? Understaffed for table service the past 2 Wednesdays for trivia, so everything from ordering to getting the check and being able to leave took far too long.
