Small collection of art but very nicely presented. Went on a Sunday so entrance was free! If you have an extra 1-2 hours in a Sunday and you happen to be around Worcester, I would recommend a visit!

This place is HUGE!! We went for a morning date and ended up staying for so long we had to stop in the museum restaurant for lunch! Love the museum itself, there was so much to see you could really spend all day in there. The food at the restaurant was actually excellent! They were very friendly and generous with their coffee refills. Will definitely visit again for both art and food.

Growing up in Worcester with easy access to this gem of a museum spoiled me. There is a good variety of exhibits and high quality of the collection.

A great museum. Features a beautiful Roman mosaic and a small medieval chapel. Four floors of exhibits. Medieval weaponry. A good collection of Middle and East Asian art. Interesting modern art.

A small museum that had an outstanding show of graphics. Called "Photo Revolution: Andy Warhol to Cindy Sherman," there was an excellent representative display of photos, including the way artists used the medium to speak powerfully (iconic news journalism of Viet Nam general shooting a Viet Cong and the shooting of 4 students at Kent State) and over time to experiment with and develop it, including collage, video and paper dresses printed with Campbell soup cans, op art, Audrey Hepburn's eye. Some simply experimental work, too.Descriptive comments accompanying pictures were good. And there were pieces of armor on display from the former exceptional Higgins Armory Museum, including the dog in dress armor and helmet near the registration desk. This was all we had time to see in the museum because we took our time, but it was definitely worth our drive from near Boston- enough to entice me back when another show sounds good.

Friendly staff and fascinating pieces. Some over 4000 years old!

Wonderful place to visit. Some amazing art in a super-comfortable museum. Not too big, not too small, but just right. Ancient mosaics inside entrance are knockouts, and the reconstructed council house from 1100 is almost worth the price of admission. Be sure to allow plenty of time to see as much as you can. Café is far better than similar ones in other museums. Staff could not be more helpful and informative. Looking forward to returning.

Wall to wall amazing. Both art and historical artifacts. The ancient Egyptian and Roman areas were my favorite.

Breathtaking pieces, truly amazing seeing pieces of art that I grew up reading about. Not to mention the gems of art new to me. Great for all ages and walks of life.

The museum itself is easily walkable in an afternoon and though the whole thing isn't HUGE it has a lot of various periods and really well curated and designed collections. We especially loved the huge center atrium with the paired wall mural and floor mosaic. I don't want to describe it and spoil it, it's that good and that visually arresting.

What a local gem! Check out the museums regular collection or one of the special events or classes; we are really lucky to have this here.

Such a delightful museum. While it may not have the size and notoriety of a museum such as the MFA or MOMA, it is still guaranteed to spark and encourage a love of art. Featuring paintings from greats such as Monet and Mary Cassatt, a room size mosaic and an amazing collection of armor and weapons from many great civilizations, the WAM (as it's known by those in Worcester) has something for everyone. I was at first skeptical as I've been to a couple of disappointing local museums in my time, but this one was worth the visit. A little hard to navigate sure, but hey, no one's perfect.
