That's a great question! While waiting for this store to open, we've shopped at a couple other WD's and have found that to be true at all of them. Comparison shopping is required. Unfortunately ? there's not a single large grocery store we have found, in the Keys, where ALL prices are lower than the rest. Gordon's is in Conch Plaza, Roosevelt Blvd., in Key West. That store resembles a wholesale club grocery, except you aren't required to buy a yearly membership to receive lower prices. Even when shopping at Gordon's, and having to buy larger amounts of Most items, comparison shopping IS needed! We run into the exact same thing ? Some items are higher than Publix and WD. One other option is to leave the Keys every week or two, like my brother does, and shop in Florida City or Homestead at Aldi's. The draw backs we''ve found in that choice is Aldi's doesn't have as large of a selection as regular groceries, and, we''ve found Some items tend to have run out of date, Or stale.✝️?
