Had my wedding here (Thumper Pond) 8 years ago and they messed up our dessert. We had ordered pie when we originally went to sample the food to decide what we wanted for our guests. On the day of our wedding the food that was served to our guests was not hot and was a little sad looking. Then to top of the entire meal when we were supposed to have the pie (there was supposed to be one placed at each table) there was none, someone forgot to order the pie for our wedding! And now 8 years later we come back to use the water slide and ordered a pile of food to bring to the pool.... what a disappointment. Service took forever and some of the stuff we ordered was not what we ordered. For instance we had ordered BBQ crispy chicken wings and the were one not crispy and two not BBQ, that had more of a jerk flavor. It's like all the people working were new as well. Two times we went to order a pitcher of beer and it took almost 25 minutes to fill the order. Never going back.

Service was s l o w. We ordered boneless chicken wings as an appetizer. They looked and tasted suspiciously like Tyson chicken nuggets from Walmart. The food was served cold. We asked that the kitchen staff put a meat thermometer in the walleye and the sirloin. Very seriously doubt either was served at 100 degrees, but we'll never know... And, to add insult, the menu price of the steak was $16.99 but the check showed $18.99, and the menu price of the walleye was $19.99, but the check showed $21.99. We didn't notice that till we had left. Based on other reviews we weren't surprised. Sad. Just a follow-up. I stopped back later to question the extra $2 charge per entree. After some discussion, the staff decided it was additional sales tax! Guess you can't argue with that logic 😂

Great food when they weren't busy, stayed at the hotel for a few days, when they weren't busy the food was spot on but Friday night I pit in a to go order and it took over an HR. When I got our food all of it was cold (not the cooks fault) but it had been in the window some time and obviously Boone cared about it cause it was a Togo order, and there was a wedding going on. Anyway , you guys got good food when you can handle being busy.I'm not sure if I'll be back, definitely won't be going during any kind of a busy day.
