Great location, good server, lively bar area, great vibe, but food was sub-par and not as described on menu. Happy hour = Yes. Dinner = Maybe.

Only had breakfast and it was good but pricey. No buffet - just an a la carte menu. I got charged USD$8 for a cup of tea🙄 Meal itself was good and staff was friendly.

My wife and I accidentally stumbled on Westend Bistro and don't see any reason to come back. We falsely read about a hot chocolate bar in the Fairmont, which led us to this bistro. It's a restaurant in Westend near GWU in the Fairmont Hotel. It does look a tad bit more fancy compared to other restaurants. We went on a Thursday and it was almost empty and there was no hot chocolate bar. The service was EXCELLENT and the food decent. We ordered the brussel sprouts, kale salad, and the mushrooms. All were not bad, but nothing to come back for. They did end up having hot chocolate on the menu (though no gourmet bar). It was average hot chocolate. If you're staying in the Fairmont, it's a fine choice and convenient place to eat/grab a drink. However, if you're not a guest of the hotel, I recommend walking to one of nearby Georgetown's 4-5 star rated restaurants.

Good food. Overpriced like most restaurants. I got the fifteen dollar crispy chicken sandwich. The fat boy in me was disappointed that it didn't come with fries but the "healthy new" me was pleased it came with a delicious spinach salad. Complimentary bowl of pickled veggies was a nice treat.

Amazing experience! Food was fresh and delicious. Service was fast and extremely polite. This is in the Ritz Carlton, so please don't go anticipating Denny's prices - but well worth it for the quality of food. They also have a breakfast buffet on the weekends that was packed with a variety of fresh fruit and other delicacies. We had the Crab Benedict and Salmon Lox with lattes, the whole meal was to die for.

This restaurant is attached to the Ritz Carlton near Foggy Bottom. There's an entrance from the hotel and another one from the street. The food is expensive. This is really the only reason I am giving an average rating.Breakfast on the weekend includes a buffet option which is wonderful. You can order custom omelettes or waffles. The waffles come as 2 small 3 inch circular Belgian style. The high point for me was the chicken apple sausage. Just perfectly flavorful, juicy, and slightly spiced. The service was great. I was given a tour of the buffet first and served coffee right away.My only hang up was the price, otherwise 4 stars for breakfast!
