Chef Tawara really puts a lot of care and effort into each dish and provides a personal touch by coming out and introducing many of the dishes himself. I love the blending of Japanese ingredients from all over Japan with local Seattle produce. It's a fantastic dinning experience that represents kaiseki style wonderfully. Very few places like this exist in the US, so it's definitely worth checking out! I loved it 😆

Yes, Wa'z is an expensive place to eat. However, it is a truly authentic Japanese restaurant, and even better than many comparable places in Japan. Just as with similar places in Japan, you do not order off of a menu. Everyone that goes there will eat the same selection of dishes. That selection changes with the seasons, often by month. Why 5 stars? The quality of food and pairing of flavors is that good.

Pretty cool experience. There are some dishes I don’t like. But all dishes were prepared carefully. Servers and chefs pay attention to details.
