Fire food. Got in just before the, well deserved, publicity blew this place up and reservations got hard to come by. Incredibly balanced food with tons of bright flavours. Ingredients are highlighted beautifully and the space is designed incredibly well. Props to the whole team.

Came here since I heard the hype about this place. Food was really good when I came here for lunch. I ordered the chicken bowl, and the portion was on the smaller side but tasty. The corn fritters are SO good, def recommend giving that a try. Want to come back here for dinner and get a feel of the dinner ambiance.

FABULOUS- gorgeous space, delicious food. My favorite dishes included the gado gado, lobster noodle (a must!!!), the clams and for desert, the passion fruit custard. We ordered several other items as well but these were the standouts. Also met Cedric Vongerichten and his wife Ochi. They make dining at Wayan incredibly warm and welcoming. I will be back. If you are averse to noisy restaurants, I would recommend dining in the front room. Eating at the bar is also a great option.

My first time at this restaurant although have been hearing about it often. It does not disappoint. We came during lunch mid week so the menu was small but everything was delicious.

shared plates. sweet & spicy sauces with flavorful food and fresh ingredients. There's a nice bar upfront and an intimate small room in the back with Indonesian teak furnishings & festive lighting. Makes a great place to share a meal with friends or go out on a date. The prawns in sweet & sour sauce and the lobster & fried garlic over ramen noodles were our favorites. 1 small plate, 1 main and a side per person was just about right for everyone.

Lived in South East Asia for 10yrs. The flavors brought back memories and the ingredients and cook were great on the meats. Portions were fair, heat was good. Staff was friendly

ð‘¾ð’†ð’†ð’Œð’†ð’ð’… ð’†ð’™ð’‘ð’ð’ð’“ð’‚ð’•ð’Šð’ð’: There are an abundance of vegatable-focused dishes in Southeast Asia, and 🇮🇩 ð—šð—®ð—±ð—¼-ð—šð—®ð—±ð—¼ stands close to the top of the list. Expect to find an array of veggies , hard-boiled eggs 🥚 and tofu topped off with a peanut sauce🥜 in this salad 🥗.But this is 🗽, and this Indonesian-French 🇮🇩🇫🇷 eatery takes on the chef's persona and features soft-boiled quail eggs 🥚, radishes and edible flower petals 🌺, a creamy avocado purée 🥑, all brought together with an unforgettable peanut relish 🥜. The dish literally translate to "mix mix", so chef 👨ðŸ»â€ðŸ³ does that justice. What other salads stand up to this 🇮🇩 nationally recognized dish?

Really wonderful food, decent prices and cool nyc vibes / atmosphere. We sat at the bar and had great service both for drinks and dinner. 5 plates and 3 drinks for $150.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. The lobster noodle is incredible, nothing like anything I’ve tasted before. The shrimp skewers, the pancakes and the avocado toast are great too. Service was good, and the decor / vibe is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Authentic Indonesian cuisine. Dimly lit dining area in the back. Every table has a tiny bottle of house made sambal(chili sauce) in case you need that extra spicy kick. Every dish accentuate the many different spices that Indonesian cuisine would call for. The corn fritter and oxtail soup are the stars of the meal.

Came here for a lunch date mid week and thoroughly enjoyed my meal as well as the ambiance. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but since this is more of a higher end place, the price was a bit inhibiting. Lunch menu was also minimal. We had the shrimp burger and the sate bowl and both were delicious. Portions were small and I definitely needed more food honestly... but I’ll definitely be back for dinner sometime. Would be nice for a special occasion dinner.

All the food was new to me. I loved it and I would go back with more people, so we can share. The oxtail soup was my favorite, because of the spices and the thick texture. The food came out really quick, and the service was very attentive.

Delicious food. Love the lobster noodles but it is a bit spicy. Desserts are great too. Staff are friendly. Nice environment.
