Waterfront Gourmet Cafe & Deli

Very popular, very busy cafe that was recommended to us by a local. The food was quite good but not exceptional. Fairly general modern european cuisine. Reasonable value, which is why I think it is so popular.Location on the river front was pleasant but with industrial units close by and the noise of a very busy road not far away not that spectacular. It was nice but not as special as the recommendation suggested.

Waterside eating in better weather, a covered terrace for cloudy days. Pleasant spot for breakfast or lunch, or to stop on your bicycle or motorbike.

Lovely location and good food. Everything from snacks, cakes to full blown meals. Limited car parking so get there early!!!! Recommended.

Great place sitting next to the river, good selection of meals. Friendly and helpful staff, well cooked and presented meals. When its sunny it's great to sit outside and watch the river go bye. Also appears very popular at weekends for breakfast.

Such a lovely place and enjoyed by everyone - young and old, with small and big kids, older people on their own or with eachother, cyclists and drivers. On the Thames and close to fab walks.

The staff here are always very efficient. The food is nice, lovely views. A nice place to take the family to, for the afternoon.

Love this place. Staff love there job you can see that very happy and polite. Everything is spot on from start to finish every time we go.Fabulous hot food and delicious tasty cakes.Even on the rainy days outside areas are covered so you still get the lovely views.

Didn’t really enjoy the experience on our visit, apart from the friendly man who greeted us, a good example on how to do it. The food (vegan burger) was bland, and had very little taste, the establishment was cold, the door was constantly opening, since this is a cafe I don’t think £13.25 for a burger and a few chips is acceptable, and the time we had finished the bill was £30.00 for a small lasagne. They really need to demonstrate value because this was clearly that.

Fantastic setting on the banks of the Thames, that is dog friendly. The menu has lots on offer from small bites to nicely portioned mains; there is also a specials board. Not the biggest selection of draught beer/cider though. If it's a nice day parking can be an issue as it's relatively small and it gets very busy due to its popularity.

Great place with good food

Well worth the hour's drive from Swindon. The fish & chips was excellent. The wife's and daughter's meal were excellent as well.

Fabulous as usual. On the banks of Old Father Thames, lovely friendly staff, tasty food. 😋 Can't recommend it highly enough.

I had heard excellent reports about the Waterfront cafe. We visited in late October when it was quite busy. It is right beside the river. There is plenty of seating inside and out and I imagine it would be particularly pleasant on a warm summers day. There is a varied and interesting menu with plenty of vegetarian options. There are also an array of cakes to choose from. The food is good and very well presented. The staff are really friendly and helpful with nothing bring too much trouble. All in all great place to eat or stop for a cup of coffee/tea and cake. I'll be back!

Really nice place, much bigger inside than expected which probably explains why you rarely can park here, spaces are limited.... great breakfast menu, staff friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend.
