One of my neighborhood favorites-- I've been coming to Walter's for years, and I'm a happy repeat customer. It can be a bit busy at peak times, and for good reason. You'll find reliably excellent oysters, cocktails, and my favorite menu item: the french dip sandwich. Also love the Japanese speakeasy in the back (Karasu)!

The food is fresh, the staffs are nice. The place is a little bit small so crowded at noon. Better get there early.

Great steaks and fries, we were seated pretty quickly for how busy it looked at night. Great drinks and a very nice wait staff

The place had a great brunch food and also good drinks selection. I found my favorite cider here. The waffle had corn break like texture which I love and the fried chicken was done well. Food is definitely great.

It's good. Do I wake up every day needing to go? No. Is the, "not that long", "shouldn't be an issue", 10 block walk, a barrier to visiting? Yes. Tables are a bit too tight, music can be too loud, and much too often there is a wait. All that said, bright interior, attentive staff, good drinks.

Atmosphere was pleasant, with lots of sunlight, not too loud for brunch, and attentive service. The trout sandwich turned out to be trout salad, so the menu could have been more descriptive. My friends liked their brunch, and prices were quite reasonable for Brooklyn.Bump up to five stars for service, as we were on our way to the airport. The manager graciously offered to hold our bags in the back while we took in Fort Greene and the farmers market across the street on Saturday morning.

After a beautiful day in the park we stumbled upon Walters on a whim, and thankfully was able to get a table for some brunch. The staff was very friendly, the menu had variety, and the food was fresh, presentable, & tasty. Check out their eggs benedict with salmon ;)
