Absolutely incredible! Whatever sorcery they use to get their croissants so light and flaky is a delicious mystery. This is definitely one of the best bakeries I've ever been to!

This new bakery in Uptown is quickly becoming our go to spot. The space is beautifully decorated and so full of natural light it's the perfect place to read a book or catch up with friends. Their banana bread is fantastic and their gluten free muffin got two thumbs from my husband!

Upscale bakery and coffee shop with beautiful and delicious baked goods that keep changing throughout the day. Definitely not your bargain option, but my wife would eat here multiple times a day if she had the option.

Ok, this place is a day maker in a dark time! We had a friend deliver goodies to us and it was the best pick-me-up. So delicious!! The croissants we had were so delicious that we've paid it forward a few times to other friends that need a nice surprise. Whether you order for yourself or someone else, you won't be disappointed! The Ham & Gruyère Croissant is worth the splurge. 10/10.

I feel like the luckiest person alive to have this amazing bakery in my neighborhood. I visit on regular basis and have NEVER been disappointed. I ordered my husband's birthday cake from there back in December and it was truly mouthwateringly delicious. My family is addicted. Best pastries in Mpls. Oh and the staff and owner are always smiling and happy and it translates in the food and atmosphere. Love love Black Walnut!

I went to school in France for a year to learn about fine art and jewelry making, but mostly came home with memories of baguettes and the patisseries I visited each morning on my way to class. I have a ton of respect for those who have dedicated their lives to the art of doing anything, but to be able to finely craft a croissant the way Sarah has done is nothing short of mastery. Well done!

I loved this place but would have felt better if the employees had been wearing masks!!

Lemon tart crust was buttery, crisp and flaky, the filling deliciously tangy and the cream not too sweet. Quiche was fluffy and light. Vegetarian friendly and good ambiance, if the music is a bit loud and the space somewhat echo-y when full. They have tea and coffee drinks, and will eventually be serving the full menu you can see online--for now, what you see in the bakery case is what's available. And it's worth the trip!

Such a cute, bright space with delicious treats and savory options as well. Everything is reasonably priced and I can't wait to go back regularly, especially when the patio is open.
