Wally Waffle

Been going here since I was a child. Usually pretty good service and great food. Today was different. Got pickup, and I understand during such a time that it's not always easy to deliver the same quality. That being said, this was more than disappointing. Wally fries with cheese turn out to be just hashbrowns with no flavor and two slices of cheese just slapped on top, barely melted. Belgian waffles that are soggy and biscuits that were hard at times. It's hard to give this place two stars but today they outdid themselves. I hope in the future their cook will put extra effort into what they are making.

Wally Waffle is one of my favorite restaurants that I've visited. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and they were the best I have tasted in my life. The chicken was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned, and my waffle was airy and complimented the chicken like it should. I had some lemonade to go with it, and it was so good. Our server was extremely nice and did her job very well. After I finished my meal, I was happy and very full. I'd give this place 6 stars if it was an option. It's so good, and it definitely is one of my favorite restaurants.

So good. Get the chicken and waffles. Or any of the food there. Ha. So good. It gets packed on the weekend mornings though so be prepared to wait. They close early, at 4pm. Suggestion to them is to open again at 10pm for the drunk crowd. Why do you think Denny's does so well and stays open so late!!

I like Wally Waffle, always have. But whatever that butter substitute is that you're using, that comes in a ball shape in the grits and on top of waffles and pancakes, etc., is awful. I'm not sure if it's margarine or butter-flavored Crisco or some other substitute, but it took forever to melt. It actually never fully melted, which was odd because our food wasn't cold. It doesn't taste very good either. I asked our server for real butter and she informed me that you don't carry it. Due to the taste and consistency, we didn't touch the grits or pancakes and I just ate half the waffle. Serving waffles, pancakes, french toast and grits, I feel it's essential to keep real butter on hand. It really does make a big difference in taste. Please consider making real butter available by request, even if it's just the little packets that you keep in the fridge.

First time we went, although I had wanted to try for a while. My daughter had the "funnelcake" waffle, which was a massive serving of a waffle coated in pancake batter and then deep fried. Really good, but obviously quite heavy. She enjoyed it, but couldn't begin to finish it. Is looking forward to trying something more traditional next time.I had the pecan waffle, and it was also very good, especially paired with the wally fries. The whole meal reminded me a bit of an upscale "Waffle House" combo, but much better. Can't wait to come back and try some different entrees.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Obviously this place is geared for breakfast, but they do have a nice burger selection on the menu.Breakfast is served all day.... But then they close at 4!Service has always been friendly and great. Food always taste fresh.The chicken and waffles is a great choice. The chicken is bone in drumsticks and extremely tender. Waffles are served with hot syrup and powdered sugar.Well worth stopping in. And the prices are very reasonable. You won't break the bank taking the family out for breakfast!

High Quality, Delicous Breakfast place! Hash browns come out crispy every time! Grits are also very good here! Nice atmosphere and good menu options. If you like veggies, I recommend the Garden Vegetable Omelette...with provolone cheese.

I had Cocoa nut waffle and my girlfriend had chocolate pecan waffle. Both tasted amazing. Also recommend their loaded fries. The service was quick. It's better to go as early in the morning as possible because it gets very crowded with time.

Great food. Friendly service. No long waits. Worth going out of the way for if you’re passing through Akron.

Super friendly staff and I liked the open feel of the room. Windows everywhere so it was nice to get that sun beating on me while I ate something that I'm sure will make me a diabetic. Very quick getting food, the restaurant was almost at full capacity too. The waitress also was great at being friendly and even making suggestions when I asked her some questions.

We love Wally Waffle! Any time our family is in town we all trek down to Wally Waffle each morning for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing!

Best waffles in town! Don’t forget to order the loaded Wally Fries! Excellent, quick service. Lots of great options on the menu for breakfast and lunch. This place is clean and the atmosphere is great. There are some cool antique griswald waffle irons on the wall. Although the food was cooked perfectly, I don’t suggest trying to breathe the toast. It just does not work out the same way air does...

The food is never disappointing- always hot, fresh, and served quickly. Crimson is the absolute best! She was our server the first time we came 7 months ago. Her fantastic service and consistency of the kitchen is what keeps us coming back every time. Also- the fried chicken is phenomenal.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I loved the food ... I had the eggs Benedict, my husband had the chicken with waffles, and we had the funnel cake a la mode simply fabulous. Our waitress was named Beth and she was great... sent us home with drinks to go without us asking. Will definitely be back 😊😊
