If there were zero stars, this is how we would rate this restaurant. We purchased the pre performance dinner and both the food and service were atrocious. The wine we ordered was not available , the garden salad was long passed its sell by date and the entree, the white fish, which took nearly an hour to arrive was stone cold when it did. The desserts were inedible. It was clear to us the restaurant was incapable of catering to the number of people they expected to serve prior to the performance. Our server was at times absent for fifteen minutes at a time , and when the final bill came we were charged again for meals that were already prepaid. We called the manager who corrected the bill and waived the wine charge. It was a dreadful experience and a disgrace not only to the Kimmel Center but to the Garces organization

This place was a pre-paid add-on to a show we had later, and it was delicious! The servers were amazing, and the chairs were cute!

Best culinary experience I've had so far. Very complex flavors. It was my first time trying some ingredients like duck liver, Hamachi and trout and I can say that I enjoyed them very much. One of my favorite dishes was the Hamachi tartar which is weird cause I don't eat much fish in general. Another must try is the Milk and cereal, at first it's a little confusing because of the presentation, but when you taste it...OMG it was amazing. Thought I would have given a 4.5 because one dessert was supposed to have coconut sorbet but they used banana instead. And didn't care much for the king crab risotto. Besides that overall a great experience filled with new flavors.

The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was great. I love that they are supporting new chefs. It was good to be back.

I was so tired after I saw a show Friday at one of the theaters. It was almost 9pm and we were walking around. The car was parked at the Kimmel my friend saw the restaurant as they were coming out on the way to the show. Why not check them out... Just the greeting alone brightened up my night the show was okay not what I expected. This experience made up for it. The GM was great and suggested what we should try on the menu and it was wonderful. Their version of shrimp toast was great and the lamb it was so tender and did not have that taste it usually carries. It was fried like southern chicken. Definitely will be back because of the friendliness of the bartender and hospitality of the manager. I need to mention the decor and ambience, cool and relaxing. Definitely a nice place to wind down after a show or go for the Happy Hour during the week starts on Wednesdays I believe. I'll be there I work in Center City.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here after a busy day. As tourists I googled ‘fine dining’ and was not disappointed with our decision to dine at Volver. Accurately described as sophisticated but comfortable. Our Waiter Hector gave us 5-star service and prices were reasonable. Beautiful ambiance and location. Thank you Hector!!

The food, atmosphere & out water Hector were exceptional and the food was DELICIOUS!!

Absolutely fantastic place !!! We had the grilled octopus, scallops over risotto, and short rib and oh my gosh it was to die for!

Great service. Me and my lady went here to celebrate our two year anniversary in Philadelphia and couldn't have been more happier. The manager was very nice and respectful and made sure we had an excellent experience. I definitely recommend this place.

Had a drink at the bar and the bartenders were great!

The appetizers were really good! Our dinner left much to be desired. My husband got the crispy chicken with mash potatoes and it was drowned in gravy. The bowl it was served in was also not ideal for eating. I got the trout dish and it left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere is intimate and very nicely decorated. I would probably come back but only for appetizers and drinks.

If Vernick is 5 stars, this place is 2. While the food presentation is lovely, the lack of substance and overly rich (too salty) dishes left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Not one dish, out of 3, would I get again. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be giving this place another go.
