Bread is served with only olive oil. We asked for pepper, never came so we asked for butter and I don’t know how butter could be gross but it was. The soft drinks aren’t free refills, dinner entrees don’t come with a side and the atmosphere was louder than a sports bar. And there is a charge for a credit card. Come for upscale food but get charged per sprite and to use a credit card? Miserable experience.

Immediately felt like family when I walked in! The cavatelli was amazing and melted in my mouth. Service was exceptional and the ambiance was amazing! Definitely going back!

Fantastic restaurant, best in Charlotte. I went there last night with a party of six. Everyone loved the appetizers, main dish, and dessert. The service was the best. I will be telling everyone to go there.

My wife and I really wanted to love this place. We’ve been patiently for an authentic Italian restaurant to open near by. As authentic as this place was and as great as the service was we were both let down to the actual flavor of our meals. We thought maybe they were just playing it safe being such a new restaurant. We will definitely give Volo another shot.

Great spot for a date night. We went during the week because we heard its really busy on the weekends. They do live music Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday's and it was a very pleasant experience.

Food, service and atmosphere are spot on. Great bottle of wine for good price. The eggplant small plate and Octopus small plate were amazing. Had Gnocchi and was perfect amount food for husband and I to share. Ate at bar and felt 100% comfortable. Highly recommend.

For me Volo was just okay. The food was high quality, but the flavors were a little bland for my taste. Also, the waiter seemed nervous and was not well trained. Perhaps he was new. However, the bartender who came to the table (because we ordered some specialty drinks) also seemed awkward. We ordered the octopus app, carpaccio, red snapper and branzino.

Our meal was absolutely incredible and the wait staff was amazing. From our waiter to the bus boy everyone was incredibly attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The hostess was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, we have to give this restaurant a three star review because of the manager. I’m not sure what happened on the night we were there, but clearly there was a disagreement between the wait staff and the manager. The manager yelling at the wait staff and stomping around the restaurant in a tizzy was incredibly distracting and absolutely took away from what otherwise would have been an incredible experience.
