Amazing food!! I had the goat and okra stew with the plantain fufu. My husband got egusi mixed with spinach and collard greens stew topped with fried fish accompanied with yam fufu. This was our first time trying fufu, and it was wonderful! I highly recommend eating here! The place is small but some of the best spots are cozy.

The rice taste burnt and the plantains would be better with chips instead of spears. I’ve tried this place 3 times and 2 out of the 3 has been a disappointment. The staff was nice but the food needs to be better. Service 10/10 Food 4/10

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I am a huge fan of plantain fufu with a peanut stew and this was an excellent one. The chef even threw in some rice for me as well which was spicy and delicious. My dinner was about $20 for the fufu and stew but I was able to stretch it into two very big portions. Will be making this a regular spot!

It's a good place to get African food. Too much soup for someone who intends to dine in but better option for someone who wants to take out and reserve some for later. The beef and goat meat were just fried not well sauced. Overall, it's a good place and nice customer service.

We were truly blown away by the African cooking at VOILA AFRIQUE, a brand-new takeout spot in Midtown East near the United Nations. Our thanks to gifted Chef Margaret for clearly pouring her heart into dishes like egusi in greens, jollof rice, kenkey, peanut butter, stew, and vegan beef. With organic, vegan, and halal options, this food bursts with flavor. What a find!!

This is a wonderful hidden gem among what the typical and repetitive Asian (con) fusion eateries have to offer in this neighborhood. And it's not just for their incredibly delicious and authentic cuisine, but their warm and courteous service and their spirit of hospitality that sets them apart. Organic stewed greens are my favorite besides the oxtail and coconut rice! Viola Afrique is a MUST try anytime!

Good, homecooked food is a rarity in midtown, and this is one of the few places to find it! Dishes are lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients that give the food a vibrant, hearty, homely feel which has become all too rare in the city. Having tried several things on the menu ranging from the chickpea curry to the tilapia with jollof rice, I can safely say it's very difficult to go wrong here.

One of the best African restaurants I have ever had! They have the most amazing dishes, and they have vegan versions of Egusu and their peanut butter curry - which are both divine- Absolutely go visit them or get delivery ASAP 🙌🏽

Best African restaurant in New York, selective food and excellent menu. One of few restaurants that I'll continue to visit.

Let's say that it was a bad day but the food took so long, after specifically asking for what was ready to go. Ordered jollof rice and greens. Eh! Lord after craving a plate of jollof I sat down and the disappointment, in my life, this cannot be it, no flavour, the taste was just off. I'm hoping my feedback will serve in improving as the concept is super cute and the footfall does show a loyal customer base.
