Let me leave you with an honest review of our recent experience with VKI. Hibachi dinner was prepared in a manner to be served at a nursing home. Chicken was bland and overcooked(rubber ball pellets), rice was bland and soggy, noodles were ok but are not included with hibachi. "Teriyaki sauce" appears to be from the same vendor as mcdonalds packaged sauce(Mcrib sauce). The chicken hibachi dinner was ordered amongst 5 individuals at a rate of 19 dollars per head, same results with all 5 plates. EMBARASSMENT. Sushi is typically a hit for this location, tonight was an off night as octopus was sliced into 1 inch thick chunks that were attatched at 1 end making it very difficult to eat. It was like chewing on rubber tires. Sushi rolls were small and inadequate. Salad's ginger dressing was a puré the texture of applesauce with a hint of sweetness(weird baby food). Overall food lacked flavor and preperation was subpar. Will not be returning.

Someone in my family loves this kind of food. Not me. Usually I find it too greasy but this is not singular to this one Japanese steal house. It's the hibachi style I do not like! The filet hibachi was super tender (I stole a piece from my companion's plate!). If I have to go there, I like it at lunch, prices are better, and I order from the kitchen, tempura, sushi or one of their noodle soups.

My family and I have been here twice. Once for the Hibachi and once for the ala carte. Both were great. Good food and fast service.

Gresh and tasty Japanese food. Went for lunch and very reasonable.

Very tasty, stopped there for couple appetizers and drinks. It was Christmas and they been open. Good service. I will come back

I love eating here for lunch! I usually get the hibachi dish. They serve soup and salad with the meal. It is always delicious and hot! Everyone is friendly and the restaurant is clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

I don’t ever post reviews but I felt like this needed to be shared. The service we received was good, but the food was barely edible. My husband and I both ordered chicken teriyaki and our chicken was slimy and chewy. Of the meal, all we ate was the rice. When the server and manager came over and asked about our meal and kept asking if we wanting a box after seeing we were clearly disappointed by our meal. We didn’t expect our check to be comped but they didn’t even offer, instead they were offended by our dissatisfaction of their sorry excuse of a $20 individual meal. One star is beyond kind to even suggest after this experience.

Hibachi was terrible. Rice was extremely greasy. Portion was very little for price paid. Two ppl ordered one to share yet all rice orders was distributed evenly. Smh. 2 eggs in rice for 7 ppl plus piece of eggshell in it. Then you are literally rushed out while food is in plate. My friend put fork down and lady came and touched her plate to take away, saying finish? She let her take it after hovering over what was left in her plate. Disappointed

First the good: Wait staff was great! Very helpful and friendly. Orders were taken fast and food came quickly. The bad: We ordered gyoza, miso soup, yaki soba and a couple of sushi rolls. Gyzo was barely warm temperature wise when it arrived, soup was pretty bland and had a strange taste. The yaki soba was also pretty mediocre. The sushi was a bit better than everything else but small portions. Won’t be returning to this establishment as there are definitely better options for Japanese in town.

Prices are wrong online and are actually more in house.We didn't have a good experience. Everyone is diffrent however. The Sushi was good, we had a crunchy tuna roll. I also enjoyed the clear soup and salad. However the Hibachi left much to be desired. What would've added a kick... is the white sauce. It was watery at best and had barely any flavor. The meats also seemed very chewy. Our server had barely 2 words to say to us and was very slow to refill our water. They need improvement in that area it seems. Needless to say we probably will not return to this location. $50 for an okay meal and bad service for 2 people....

Absolutely great experience. White "Yum-Yum" sauce was good. The filet was incredible, snapper, not so much. Long wait time from seating to getting food, but worth it. Moderate portion sizes, REALLY liked the ginger salad, super skinny on flavor w/ the mushroom soup. We will go back!

The steakhouse was clean and spacious. Very attentive wait staff. We did not do the Hibachi at the table, but we did get the Hibachi steak and shrimp. Very good. California roll and crunchy tuna rolls to start the meal. Absolutely fantastic.

Excellent restaurant!!! My friend and I ate here and were VERY impressed. When we arrived, almost no one was in the restaurant, causing me concern. I wanted to immediately leave, but my friend suggested we stay. Sooooooo glad we did!!!! The wait staff was knowledgeable and the food was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this place. I will be going back!
