There is lovely event space in the lower level. Not sure capacity, but my guess is 40-50 people. There is a bar in that room, and nice space on the other side of the stairs where we had cocktails and appetizers before the wedding. On another occasion the restaurant was closed to the public and the party too up the first floor dining room, and lounge area, which probably total about 75.

The name actaully came from my our family retail stor called merchant of vino. Since we were it a university town we added ology to play of the university. We have another restaurant in birmingham called Vinotecca to reflect the city life of birmingham. Some people say Meet me at the Vine which we embrace as a townie phrase for our restaurant since we have been here over a decade.
