Vic's On the River

Food was great and the wait staff was ok. The lady at the front reminded me I was 1 minute late for my reservation. Got seated in a mostly empty room right next to a guy eating by himself!? Was I suppose to strike up a conversation? Felt like my money just wasn't good enough. Won't go back.

Wow-what a great experience! We stopped by for late afternoon lunch and boy they didn't disappoint us. Pictures you will see the meatloaf, with green beans, and mashed potatoes! The sauce was unbelievable. The view was spectacular, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly. They also have a coffee shop on the first floor by the river side. Terrific menu. Loved the fried green tomatoes. Portions on entrees were large and waitress kindly accommodated some menu alteration requests for some in our party. Took off a star because hostess stand is in middle of restaurant causing a lot of people to be shuffling through dining area and clustering around hostess stand. But would definitely be back.

Nice atmosphere. My server was excellent. I believe his name was Daniel. Food was very good. Loved the way the house salad was served. Similar to a wedge. Great presentation.

Wonderful dining experience. Great atmosphere and food. I had the Pineapple Upside Down Martini, which was amazing. Pretty dangerous though as you can't taste any alcohol in it! The wedge salad is beyond good. Fresh veggies and clearly homemade salad dressing. I had the shortrib and my husband the pork chop. Both were stunning. Great service.

This may actually be the best meal I've ever had. I can't accurately describe it because the English language has not developed enough to encompass the pure joy and peace I felt eating the melange. Perfectly delicate, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth bliss. Truly the most deserving of any 5 stars I've ever given. I'm smitten.

The food was good but the whole experience was less than expected. We waited about 30 minutes beyond our reservation and the whole place seemed a bit hectic and noisy. They had a piano player and singer playing songs more suited to dualing pianos like Brown Eyed Girl instead of some nice soft Jazz like you might expect. Perhaps our expectations were not set appropriately.

Great food, service and energetic atmosphere. I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank with a side of Risotto and Asparagus. All were nicely presented and delicious. The only thing that did not impress me was the house chardonnay. I had an odd taste, with an edge. Switched to a different wine to enjoy dinner. My server Danielle provided great courteous service. If you are in Savannah make reservations and enjoy a great evening at Vic's On The River.

We absolutely love working with Joey and Justyna at Vic's! Every single wedding and event is flawless. They are so kind, organized, and absolute pros! The view is stunning- right on the water, it feels so private and cozy, but has enough room for a party. Parking, unlike practically everywhere else in Savannah, is EASY! They have dedicated valet parking, and if the lot is full, there are several garages nearby. Last, but certainly not least, the food! The chefs are incredibly talented, delivering stunning, delicious dishes, whether received as a guest or vendor. All around, Vic's is the perfect place in Savannah to host your next event!

We are here to see how it was and we ended up doing our wedding reception here! Food is FANTASTIC! The events coordinators were AMAZING! Thank you so much Justina and Joey! You guys made such a beautiful night for us! Joey thank you thank you for helping design our cake as well! Amazing wait staff, great atmosphere, and 10/10 would eat here EVERY time we come into Savannah!

Great food and service. Went there for dinner. I had the fried shrimp and totally enjoyed it. Nice upscale atmosphere but not pretentious. Nice view of the river from the bar. I would recommend Vics to anybody looking for a nice evening out.

This place is a must go if you haven’t already. The history of the place alone makes it worth going to. We sat at the bar on the 4th floor and had a few drinks while over looking the river. We did not eat but all the food that came out looked great. Mike the bartender was awesome.

The food was good but not good enough to merit the prices. Five of us was $200 plus the tip...and that does not include the drinks. I don't mind paying high prices for a meal out with family or friends but I want it to be exceptionally good. Service was good. The menu is one page but it includes burgers, salads, soups, pasta, chicken, steak, veal, and seafood so there is a dish for about every taste. You also have to pay for parking on the river area up until 8 pm.

Went here on a random choice to go somewhere that looked nice. The food was amazing. We took our server Rafael's suggestions from the menu and they were all fantastic. Rafael was the perfect balance of being attentive and his personality was extremely welcoming.

Server (James) was unfriendly, overwhelmed and unapologetic about his lack of attentiveness. The poor service overshadowed the great food and atmosphere.
