We went to this place for an engagement party. It hosted about 50 people in a front room. This also included a large table on the front patio with nice weather. They offered an open bar to the party with a selection of 4 wines. The red blend was delicious. The service was exceptional as they also walked around refilling your glass. The rolling dinner service was fantastic. From the massive charcuterie board, to the risotto, to the chocolate cake. I really appreciated the venue for this event.

Always impresses me! Really good service, beautiful dining room, and some of the best cuisine anywhere... Recently, I tried a Swordfish Featured Entree with Brussels sprouts, split a Caesar salad and shared an Apple Cake dessert. Best Swordfish I have ever eaten, perfectly prepared. The wine selection and knowledge of the server again, simply the best!

The food was nice, but deducting a star because they offered a gram of white truffles for $100. Croatian truffles. Lol, not worth *that* much

Nice and classy wine bar in the basement of a bldg. Pricey but delicious entrees. Fresh fish selection. The steak was delicious and my octopus carpaccio was delicious but a very small portion for 14.00.Great place to eat and drink prior to going to the Opera

Vertical is a hidden gem in Detroit! The food is spectacular and the wine selection is probably one of the best in the city. Prices are on the high side but the quality make it worth it.

This is a cool place..Love the decor and laid back atmosphere. The food and service was excellent. Shout out to Carl...he is a great bartender/manager...love this place!!

Over 100 wines by the glass, charcuterie extraordinaire, and one of the best burgers in the city. Knowledgeable staff. Great service!

The server Karl with a K was spectacular. I love wine, but I had just stopped drinking wine, and we walk into Vertical Detroit. I wanted to just sit and drink wine. I will be back.

Everything was great until my main.....main took way too long. Ordered the risotto with black truffle...owner was meant to respectfully serve truffle, Instead waiter covered me with dry old truffle. Some of it did manage to make it on my cold risotto. Dont order black truffle risotto, meant to be a special experience. The end. Ps. Service was great.
