Good food and good service. The cakes and pies are delicious. Great place to stop for lunch or dinner.

Right off of it 84. Easy off and on. Large diner serving a very comprehensive menu. We stopped for breakfast and were not disappointed. While this is a very popular place seating was quick as was service. Eggs Benedict and Angus steak and eggs were excellent.

Whata great place! Got right in and served quickly. Really nice baked goods at entrance.

Open 24 Hours is Cool.Friendly server and prompt kitchen. The coffee is good. Over easy eggs were on the over side. I like the hash crispy, this was on the burnt edges side of crispy. The place is very clean and has very nice ambiance. Has a full bar too.

Surprisingly, the food was really good here. Service was also good. I didnt really have high expectations going in but Im pleased to say they delivered a better experience than I thought I was going to get.

Its the best diner in CT. Ive been to many including Reins. Hands down the best. Highly recommend the meatloaf. Soups. Desserts.

Good coffee, great service. Waffles are the real thing and worth the trip. Very comfortable dinning. Can't wait to try dinner.

The gem of my 2014 visit to CT...my Grandma and I ate here at least once each day of our three-day visit and tried everything from burgers to breakfast, nachos and salads. The service was always friendly. This is one of my favorite diners I've ever been to.

As far as diners go, this is one of the best. Convenient location, clean store. Veteran staff very efficient but definitely high turnover. Big menu with good variety. Open 24/7. Pancakes could use more consistency, but the omelettes make up for it.

I stopped here for dessert on Saturday night very thing was delicious. The waitress we had was great she was so friendly. I am dieing to go back for a meal.

Arrived at about 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Was seated quickly and drink orders taken. I ordered the cold chicken salad plate. WOW! See picture. Recommended.

Was in there on Sunday and was very unhappy with the service we got. There were four if us in around 700pm. We were created and sat quickly. We placed our order and my wife asked to have hers made with out a certain cheese the lady that took our order wrote it down and put the orders came in. We got our food and my wife's was made normal and she was unable to eat it. By the time she came to see how everything was. The three of us had finished our food and was ready to go. Very unhappy with that service. Not sure if we will return.

The Vernon Diner is consistently very good. The menu is absurdly extensive. I almost always end up ordering the gyro which is quite good. Definitely order desert if you can. They make fantastic cheese cake.

Stumbled onto this place early one morning after seeing a sign on I84 advertising it was open 24/7. Was pleasantly surprised to find such a fabulous spot! The waitstaff were extremely friendly! The menu was extensive...so many options to choose from. I ordered the stuffed French toast which was ridiculously good!! Made with fresh housemade bread, fresh strawberries and bananas and topped with real whipped cream and nutella!! You won't go wrong here if you venture in!!
