Pleasant experience. Combine the feel of a neighborhood bar with some excellent food and you have Vernick. The chicken dish was excellent due to its juiciness and combination of flavors. The cocktails were not as special as the meal, but I enjoyed the atmosphere overall.

Consistently delicious. From start to finish, dining at Vernick is superb. While challenging to get into at times, it’s worth making reservations early, calling to see what’s available with the host or simply bellying up to the bar on a weeknight after work. I absolutely love their Alice sparkling rose, Island Creek oysters (only place you can get them in town) and the Maryland crab toast. A staple! My mouth is watering as I type this...run!

Everything we had was fantastic. Each of dishes were well thought out and delicious. Good portion sizes as well, even on the toasts. We tried several toasts a small dish and 3 seperate mains for our group and there were no complaints.

Children are welcome at Vernick Food & Drink. We have a few highchairs available. Our roasted chicken is a favorite among our youngest guests and we can also prepare pasta with tomato sauce or butter. Our servers will gladly explain all menu items and provide guidance for any allergies or dietary restrictions.

I agree with Dean, have been in 2 times, years apart actually. The food is amazing but both times our server made the experience with their knowledge of not only the menu and how best to order but the wine and liquor offerings as well.

But they have great drinks!!!
