Venezia Restaurant & Bar

Went for a company christmas dinner, starters were fine, but its hard to mess up a slice of pate. However the main courses were unimpressive, as we left, we all looked at each other with that "was your's as bad as mine?" look. The turkey was dry, the potatoes were bland, no pigs in blankets, no stuffing.Nice staff and location, but I suspect the chef might have been having an off day.

Went at lunchtime for a business meeting. Lovely food, great service. Went back again one evening with my boyfriend; still amazing. Very friendly staff, great food - the aubergine side is just gorgeous, and my cuttlefish was beautifully al-dente. Cheaper options of pasta and pizza are available; our two starters, mains, wine and dessert wine came to £110. We're told they also do really great cocktails!

The meal was so-so, nor very tasty and not so cheap. Service was very good and responsive.

Lovely lunchtime rush menu

Since the very first day that I have had the pleasure to have a meal in Venezia Bacaro. My whole concept of lunch and after work happy hour has changed. As an Italian man abroad coming from a big city and that has travelled around. I can say that it is not just a restaurant to have a perfect Italian meal, the atmosphere that goes along with the meal makes the best experience. The owner and his staff are extremely welcoming and always up for a fun chat when possible. It is a place I will recommend.

We had a fabulous dinner here late on a Saturday evening. The calamari was superb and the monk fish delicious; the side dishes of broad bean mash and lentils, carrots and chick peas, were a perfect accompaniment to the main meal. Everything was cooked to perfection, with exquisite flavours and from the freshest ingredients. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has an understated and warm ambience. The new owner Ricardo, is charming and engaging, and he recommended an excellent wine, to go with the meal. I understand he has kept all the staff, from the previous owner. I'm not sure what the restaurant was like before, as this was our first visit, however in my view, he has got the formula just right.

I was always looking through the shop from the street, but it finally arrived.When asking the menu of the soup series, they recommended Minestrone.A large dish contained plenty of vegetables and beans and it was very tasty. Next time I would like to go with my family.

5 star for lunch spot in the city. Really nice food and great coffee at reasonable price. I love the decor which is super cute. I came here around noon on a Friday and it was pretty quiet. Staff was attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back more often!
