The best breakfasts ever! The owner and the staff treat you like family. The 5 days I stayed in Nashville, I had breakfast every morning with these amazing people. You WILL NOT be disappointed when choosing this place. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you Todd for the DELICIOUS food, wonderful service and treating us so well!! You can count on seeing me my next trip to Nashville 😊

The food here is amazing! We are from Georgia and I brought me kids here for breakfast and it was good southern cooking! The service was friendly and a reasonable amount of time to wait for the food. You can order to eat in or to go, we ended up eating in and the tables were clean and the atmosphere was good.

Nothing beats their comfort and charm. The food is the kind you would get at your granny's house. They make awesome black eyed peas.

We went to Nashville a couple of weeks back and while me & my buddies were looking for a place to eat, we accidentally found this restaurant. I had the breakfast combo and a coffee and only cost me less than $10! Throughout our stay in Nashville, we always have breakfast here. Todd (the owner) had a chat with us on our last day and he’s so accommodating. Staffs are very nice and hospitable. Definitely will dine here again when we’re in Nashville.

Finally the Varallo is back after two years in the desert!!! The new chefs are creative and inspired. Every dish we had was delicious and beautifully presented.

The Chili is on point, ask for cheese. Good mom. And pop feel. Banana Pudding is great also.

I had the fried chicken on my first visit - and the world famous chili on my second. I was expecting it to be different, and was surprised at the texture - seemed like there wasn't much meat, mostly beans. But, hey - if they've been making it for a hundred years, and EVERYONE else on here likes it, it's probably just me. Next time I think I'll try it as part of a dish, like with tamales...this order was the large bowl of plain chili. I've heard that the catfish is REALLY good, too! The folks that work there are super nice - definitely will be back.

I have visited Varallo's since my working days at Branstetter Kilgore Stranch and Jennings. That was circa 1990. Their biscuits will melt in your mouth. There is nothing disappointing on the menu. Get there early because they close at 2:30 pm. Southern comfort food at its BEST!

What a great find for my Cafe Diner obsession. Complete with clean red and white vinyl table clothes. The guy at the register was very friendly, great attitude and a smile. The food was perfect! 2 eggs over easy, 2 pieces of bacon, hash browns and biscuit for $5.75. I am HOME.Looks like I'm gonna be back tomorrow, I want to try the chilli. The walls are covered with pictures, awards and that type of memorabilia. You walk in the door order from the menu or the hot bar or both. They have a egg sandwich for only $2.25Their menu has a saying,"Thanks for your patronage without you there is no us!"They believe it!
