Vapiano Chicago Loop

Who knew! For some reason I have been avoiding Vapiano. For no reason, turns out... it was a pleasant surprise, nice dining room, good food, and I loved the live herbs on the tables.Had a very tasty greek salad with chicken. My dining companions had pizza and a salad with shrimp and mango. Everything looked great - and because they messed up our order (forgot to start cooking the food for two of us), the two got free food, and very nice service and a heartfelt apology.I’m having the pasta next time, it looked scrumptious.

Just as good as the one I went to in Miami. As usual, I ate a lot of bread (so much so that it became my main course) and a few handful of complimentary gummy bears. Be careful about extra toppings on your pasta dishes because they can cost you (some cost extra). Overall, great experience!

When you're overwhelmed by options, or you didn't have the time to put in a reservation, or you just want something you know will be good for your money's worth try Vapiano. Vapiano offers good food, good drinks, and a lovely atmosphere in the middle of the loop. They offer options that will be tolerable to vegetarians or vegans and they have pizza and pasta that is gluten free. They also offer free dessert cards for your next visit which, as a loyal returning customer, I have been happy to take advantage of.

I liked this concept, kinda cafeteria style but they make your entree dish right in front of you. I've had takeout from another location but this was my first time dining in the restaurant. The portions are large enough to be shared or to take home leftovers. Overall a good experience and I'd go again.

The menu is good! The service was nice and polite staff for sure. Their card payment thing was kinda weird but I think that's just me. Italian food you know.
