Van Leeuwen West Village

Coming in as a skeptic for vegan ice cream, I was recommended to try Van Leeuwen. I was proven wrong on the first scoop. Honestly can’t taste the difference but it is actually softer than normal ice cream (Better texture). Atmosphere was nice and cozy, loved the friendly service as well! Will come back again

The ice cream is very good here. They have some unique flavors. The employees are very helpful. It is a credit/dept. card only.

Nice little ice cream parlour. Ice cream and shakes tasted great. But V expensive - typically over $10 for a milkshake after tax.

Such cool ice cream flavors, my favorite is the Honey Comb! Staff members are very friendly and polite, and will help you find the perfect flavor. Only downside is the shop is fairly small, with limited seating, so be prepared to take your ice cream outside.

Delicious cookie sandwich! Nice clean location with helpful staff, nice bench areas outside to enjoy the ice cream. Had the ice cream sandwich with honey comb ice cream scoop.

Great Vegan Ice Cream! They have the regular stuff too. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

I paid nearly 10 dollars for three scoops but all the flavors I had weren’t as sweet or flavorful as I was hoping for.

Good vegan selections, used reusable (vs disposable) spoons for samples and, does not rely on sugar to add flavor. The flavor of the vegan flavors is outstanding. The only reason this ice cream shoppe doesn’t get five stars is because it’s not fully vegan / plant - based and because of the price (makes it inaccessible for many). Accessible by public transport (plus a few block walk).

Perfect for after dinner dessert that’s also open late. Staff is very courteous and even offered my girlfriend a few tastings on their vast flavors. People were ordering pints from them at 12am so you know it’s popular. I had the vegan cookies and cream cone and it was delicious. Would recommend for anyone non vegan/vegan.

Delicious selection of flavors with plenty of vegan options. Be sure to try the flavors before ordering, especially the hazelnut crunch, which is out of this world. They also offer a kids size, which is not listed on the menu. BUT, this is only available for kids and they won't serve any adults a kids size (if you want a smaller portion). Summer or winter, this is one of our favorite places for ice cream with clean, natural flavors.

Cute little outlet for this artisanal Ice cream brand. Quality is superb, and service is pretty much always excellent as well, depending on how busy and crowded it gets. There's a small area for seating, so don't expect to come with a big group or family to get seats. But the attractiveness of this location is it's neighborly feel and vibe.

Best ice cream I've ever had, really. So creamy and rich... 1 scoop is enough. The chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich is about 9 bucks, but worth it. Probably enough for 2 people to share.

Inside the mall. Cute, not as busy in the evening. Pistachio was awesome and mocha cookie crumble was too strong of a coffee/espresso flavor for me. The churro flavor was ok.

Quite possibly some of the best ice cream I've ever had. I got the salted caramel and the Earl Grey tea. Both were delicious, though the salted caramel was my favorite of the two. This was the softest, fluffiest ice cream I think I've ever eaten. It's definitely on the pricier side but I could 100% taste the difference. I'll definitely be back.
