Valter's menu consists of house made, traditional German and European cuisine with a modern twist, along with German and American inspired sandwiches. Several of the dishes, including, the breakfast hangover and corned beef hash are served in the cast iron skillets they are prepared in. The Columbus Maennerchor is the oldest active German singing society in the United States. Tuesday's choir practice in the dining room at Valter's is open for all to enjoy. Reservations are recommended. Large parties are welcome, and private dining and meeting rooms are also available for your special event needs.

Yeah this place was good. Would love to go back and try more on their menu but it can be a bit pricey depending on what you get. It's within walking distance of Schiller park too if you're looking for a nice stroll before or after your meal. Heads up they also have televisions if you're looking to watch sports while you eat.

Great selection of food, cocktails and German biers and wines. Cozy seating. Nice and dedicated service.

Loved it. Good food, great service, great atmosphere (if you like German stuff). We lucked out and some people were there singing (great voices). Of course it was a German drinking song. They even have a small parking lot, so there's more than just street parking. I would recommend it.
