Vallier Bistro was amazing. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was charming, attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great - I loved the attention to detail in the decor. The branded napkins and wine glasses were a subtle and lovely touch. The music was at a good level for conversation and unobtrusive. My meal was phenomenal. I had the halloumi. The vegetables and cheese were cooked to perfection. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

My wife and I were in Montreal only for a day. We searched around to see if anything looked interesting, and we saw the menu for here. So happy we did. The service and food were outstanding. We shared three appetizers, the poutine, onion soup, and honey chicken bites. We couldn’t tell you which we liked the best. All were familiar comfort food, yet with a nice twist that took them over the top. The chicken bites were really yummy, and when dipped in the honey, were so good. Nice texture. The onion soup is made with red beer which gives it a really nice flavor that we’ve never experienced before. One of the best we’ve had. And, that poutine was so satisfying. The duck gave it a nice unctuousness and flavor. We wish we had room in our bellies to try even more of the menu. We look forward to visiting Montreal again, for a longer time, and this place will be first on the list to go to again.

Great food, attentive service. Many restaurants in the area close around 3:00 - 5/6:00. These folks have a 4:00-7:00 appetizer special that saved us from our poor planning. Really enjoyed it here!
