Urban Egg a daytime eatery

I got there around noon on a Tuesday. There was no wait. I was told if wanting to go on the weekend, put yourself on a wait list before going. I had the Chicken and Waffle Eggs Benedict. It was amazing. It is a sweet and savory dish. I would for sure recommend.

It’s not Snooze. Chicken sausage had a sour taste, pancakes undercooked, the fried chicken (on hard waffle) was dry and cold. Service was very good.

Devon was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. Everything was cooked perfectly and the boozy morning drinks were delicious as well! Got the espresso martini, the cure w/ vodka, mile high bourbon chai and strawberry basil w/ vodka to drink. The carnitas bowl, rocky mountain corned beef hash and stuffed french toast. You will not be disappointed 😊

We had jennyfer as our server. We had a great breakfast. She’s super attentive and sweet! I would recommend this place, not only for the great food, but the awesome service! Will eat here again tomorrow

My wife and I had a weekday off together and thought we'd grab an early breakfast. We decided to try Urban Egg in Overland Park. They were open right at 7 and we sat outside to enjoy a rare cool mid-August morning. Our waitress, Samy, was awesome. Service was top notch, recommendations on point, and the food was great. It's been a while since I've had eggs benedict done right. It was the perfect start to the day. We will be back.

The only thing better than the food and drinks is the staff! Shout-out to Rosie Robert's for ALWAYS making me feel like an old friend whenever I come in. Whether I'm with my husband or group of friends, she's always consistent, professional, and friendly! My favorite dishes are the cinnamon roll pancake and breakfast bowl, paired with the Luscious Lavender - YUM!!!

Pancake flights were awesome. Between my wife and I we tried all the flavors. Our favorite is the hawaiian with pineapple in the pancake. Very tasty. We will definitely be back

The food here is great, and the service is fast paced. They have a great routine for asking your allergies, and making it seem like they care. If you’re like me, and you look at reviews before applying to work at a place know that this is not a great place to serve or bartend. Training is a seven day period over a two week course because they do not give more than 3 to 4 shifts a week. Every shift they will give you a three page test at the end of the seven days they will give you a six page exam in which you have to earn 98% correct to serve and get tips. I feel like this is very inconsiderate towards the servers, as you’re expected to learn so much of the menu. They want you to memorize everything on the menu, including the drinks at the bar (coffee, alcoholic, juice) while paying you lower than minimum wage. Only apply to this job if you have another job already, or else you will be in trouble. It’s as if they’re demanding you to become manager in 7 days or they’ll cut you off unexpectedly. I’m very unsatisfied with the experience here.

Delicious food, but be prepared to wait for the food! For my party of 6, we waited an hour before we had food to eat! If you’re a patient person, I recommend the chicken and waffles, and pancakes.

Had the steak and eggs. It was wonderful. Love the rise n pine cocktail!

Absolutely LOVE it here! Staff is amazing and kind. The food is always delicious no matter what you order. I wish there were more locations so I could go more often!

Amazing food - we will be back! Love that they make everything fresh - you could definitely tell that they take their time with everything that they make. It was a little bit of a wait but it was so worth it!

We've been coming to this place for 2 years, hands down. This is one of the best places to visit in Kansas City. Absolutely on point with service and cocktails. I recommend this place to all family and friends when they come to town!

Absolutely amazing breakfast place. I love how they try and source locally where they can. Although I wasn’t a huge fan of their old fashioned, this place definitely understands the profile of alcoholic drinks that you’d want to have for brunch. Servers are always fantastic and honestly the best I’ve ever had. Food is delicious and comes out quickly. I’m not usually a fan of breakfast places because of how cheap breakfast is to make at home, but there’s just something about the eggs that makes me coming back. Every time I’ve dined in, there has been a manager walking around asking if everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place and I’ll keep talking it up to my friends and family and I’ll continue being a regular.
